Barrios (852), Nashville, Tennessee, USA Jan 18, 2009 12oz bottle. Pours a white head with a golden amber body. Smells of raspberry and bread. Decent wheat body and character with the crispness of the raspberry. skweek (13), College Park, Maryland, USA Jan 18, 2009 Had a very distinct raspberry taste. I’m a big fan of fruit beers, but I just don’t think that raspberry and beer go together well at all, and as such thought this tasted pretty bad. smooch (95), Sylvania, Ohio, USA Jan 12, 2009 This is one of the only fruit beers I’ve tasted that actually has a slightly, tart component. Taste is ok, but not great. smaynard6000 (66), New Castle, Pennsylvania, USA Jan 10, 2009 Decent fruity aroma betrays the lack of anything else good about this beer. High carbonation churns this unfiltered brew... with a name like "Purple Haze" I expected to see something more striking. Very little flavor of any kind; slight watery fruit flavor with very thin mouthfeel. Quite disappointing. I got this in a holiday pack from my bottle shop and I expect they bundled this in just to get rid of it. Beerman6686 (1264), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Jan 4, 2009 This poured a hazy golden color with a pinkish colored white head. Aroma was mainly artifical grape. Flavor was a bit better, mainly artificial grape flavor but also some wheaty and spice notes as well. GodOfThunder (855), Orlando, Florida, USA Dec 31, 2008 On draft at the brewpub. Wheat and berries are predominant. High carbonation. Different, but really not that good. smjohnst (202), , Pennsylvania, USA Dec 28, 2008 This was very light and very just nothing. It didnt have good flavor at all and if youre gonna name a beer purple haze I mean, come on people. grandet (477), Scranton, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 25, 2008 Copying from tasting notes. Bottle. cloudy amber pour with almost no head. Aroma of light hops and some raspberry. Taste is of very very light fruit and some bad hops. Not good.
