BDR (2139), Roseville, Minnesota, USA Nov 2, 2007 ABR 2007. Golden color with a very faint raspberry syrup aroma. Not a lot of wheat flavor in there. A little bit of a metallic finish dmac (1420), Toms River, New Jersey, USA Oct 30, 2007 12 oz bottle purchased at The Oak. Pours a hazy orange with a slight rose tint and a small white bubbly head. Big aroma of artificial raspberry syrup. flavor of pale lager mixed in with raspberry sugar syrup followed by a dry corn flake after taste. Wow what a let down. redgold07 (308), Irving, Texas, USA Oct 15, 2007 Pours a hazy yellow into the glass with a large, pure white head that retreated very quickly. A distinct aroma of yeast, citrus, and berries. A definite raspberry taste that comes out even more in the aftertaste. A very refreshing beer, definitely tart though, especially in the aftertaste.
12 oz. bottle blklab2007 (938), Connecticut, USA Oct 8, 2007 bottle poured a golden in color with some haze in the glass and a head that diminished to a thin layer on top. smell is predominately raspberry, tart, light yeast, and wheat. taste is better than i would have thought. comes over the tongue on the thin side, light flavor of malts and mid taste yeast, and finishes with a raspberry tart flavor. does not have the artificial taste or smell that a lot of these do, i give them points on the raspberry puree, best drank right after it is poured, almost like a light lambic. carboloader (318), Houston, Texas, USA Oct 5, 2007 Pours cloudy yellow with tall head that dissipates quickly. Fragrant berry perfume. Not sweet like the aroma would suggest - rather tart instead. Crisp tart bite with mild finish. Watery mouth feel. A strange brew, that to my sadness, did not invoke images of Jimi Hendrix. Points for originality though. jameswolfe (141), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA Oct 5, 2007 I love raspberries. I love beer. I dont like the two mixed together. In fact, Im swearing off all fruit beers as of now. leelavu (9), USA does not count Oct 2, 2007 This one has a light weat and raspberry scent. I loved the light flavor of raspberry as well, i just wish it was a bit more pronounced. Over all I quite liked it. LinusStick (1831), Moon Twp, suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 2, 2007 A pretty decent fruit beer thanks to the wheat. Aroma of wheat and a hint of raspberries. Pour was a foggy gold with a one finger white head. Taste was heavily carbonated with wheat and aftertaste of raspberry. Not bad. I would love this as a lawnmower beer. Makes me anxious to get back to Mardi Gras next year.
