COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Abita Purple Haze is a crisp, American style wheat beer with fresh raspberries added during secondary fermentation. Subtle coloration, fruity aroma and tartly sweet taste.

Kind of a golden color with hints of purple or reddish blue. Tastes like most fruit beers, though instead of sweet, this was more tart and acidic. Unique in that there was pulp/sediment floating around. I’d enjoy another.

Bottle, clear light yellow beer with a haze. Flavor is sweet fruit and a carbonation you can’t beat. Although not too impressive

Odin’s Den. Very cloudy golden color. This was really sweet. Nice smell. The flavor was a letdown.

Getting notebook online. Bottle. Pours a sparkling and cloudy white gold. Raspberry on the nose. Good raspberry flavors a bit fake. Carbonated mouthfeel. A decent fruit beer.

Aroma is pure raspberry. Flavor is raspberry. Raspberry has no place in a wit beer. It’s like raspberry wine cooler, without the bite of a beer. Crap.

Tap at Epcot for the Food and Wine Fest. Pours a cloudy orange with a foamy almost soapy head. Nose has hints of berry and citrus but not much else. Taste is very refreshing but extremely weak. Kind of like a very tame Hoeegaarden with a very very very slight hint of raspberry. This could have used just a bit more berry to make it stand out. Cause right now its very much like the AB Shock Top. Refreshing on a hot day but not much else. Nose is better than the taste and the palate is very thin. Decent but I’d not get it again if I had better choices.

This one has a light weat and raspberry scent. I loved the light flavor of raspberry as well, i just wish it was a bit more pronounced. Over all I quite liked it.

355 ml bottle. Pours a cloudy apricot with a decent white head. Fruity raspberry nose. Light spritzy body. Mediocre wheat base with hints of apricot and raspberry. Tad sweet in the finish.
