Hazy amber with some redness. Thin fizzy head that dissipated quickly. Medium watery body with medium-fizzy carbonation. Starts fizzy with mild malt sweetness and fruity berry flavor. Carbonic acidity and dry bitterness. Has a weak malty or wheaty presence, but is fairly refreshing. Light bitter finish and dry astringent after. Just a bit of hops in the after, with tart fruit skins. EithCubes (2146), Indiana, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Aug 9, 2006 Updated: Mar 15, 2008Bottle. Was recommended as a refreshing followup to a bottle of Arrogant Bastard…not really. Weak. Raspberry isn’t syrupy, but tastes somewhat artificial – separate from the rest. [2.5]
Re-rate from a bottle, with a clean palate. Finally getting a shot at this with a clean palate. Fizzy artificial raspberry cloy for an aroma, but not grainy. Orange-amber pour, clear, with a very fizzy and shortly-evapped off-white head – nothing remains. Aroma is pretty pungent, though. Thin body, crisp with a little grainy malt and much-subdued raspberry. Overtones of wheat. Really, where did all the promised fruitiness go? For shame. [2.1] xav33 (313), Midland, MI, Michigan, USA

12 oz bottle
Recent bottling, sipped 08/-6.
Medium pour in a pint glass.
Poured a golden color with short lived 1/8 inch white head.
Smelt of raspberries and slight hint of floweriness.
Taste was pure raspberry on the attack and body with bland wheat finish. Short lived, watery and simple. Mouthfeel was light and fizzy.
Overall, an overly simple raspberry beer. IrishBoy (2704), Bakersfield, California, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Aug 6, 2006 Nose of tart malt with some raspberry esters; Hazy pink tinged amber with a small white head; flavor was tart raspberry with some wheatiness. Kind of watery body, Not great but it is my first beer from Louisiana! henry3r (586), Wichita, Kansas, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Aug 6, 2006 The 12 ounce bottle poured a slightly hazy ripe apricot colored beverage with a small fizzy head that dissipated within two minutes and left almost no lacing on the glass. The aroma was dominated by fairly strong sweet raspberry fruit notes. There wasn’t much else that could be detected through that. The body was light with fizzy carbonation and a watery texture. The flavor started out lightly sweet and dominated by raspberry. This quickly changed to a pleasantly dry light tartness that lasted through to the finish which was medium in length and left a light alcohol warmth on the back of the throat. shadey (1496), Rochester, New York, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Aug 1, 2006 On tap @ Mellow Mushroom. Kind of pink in color with small white head. Aroma seems like bitter grapefruit and some sweet citrus. Flavor is a little like candy. I taste sweet berry flavor followed by some dryer malts and some tartness around my tongue. Good light weight summer day brew. jerc (3885), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 30, 2006 Bottle. Hazy orange body, small fast fading had. Tart fruity raspberry aroma. Slightly sweeter raspberry in the flavour, not much else. Average palate. Pleasant but fairly dull. Needs more everything as is often the case with raspberry wheats. Thanks Harry!
