Even though a select crowd will rave abou this beer, I think it’s rather nasty. It gets the job done, has a unique name, but tastes too sweet and artificial. I can drink one and possibly like it, but more thank that and the sweet berry flavor leaves a sense of quisiness. I’ll agree with others that it’s basically a fruity sparkling water with alcohol in it. To me, this is the kind of beer that will send you to the porcelain throne if you are already drunk on superior beers. This is a beer to avoid unless it’s free, or your only other choice is steel reserve.

This beer had a good aroma and for me that is where the good parts ended. It seemed too fizzy. There was no real taste. Basically just really bland. My wife thought it was refreshing. She described it as a good summer/girl beer.

Tried it from copeland’s for my birthday. Didn’t think it was to bad. You can taste the raspberry. Light taste. Not bad. I would try something else next time from abita.

Had it on tap, at Copeland’s on Barrett Pkwy, for beerlamb’s 25th B-Day. Hazy golden color. Looks like a wheat. Obvious aroma of raspberry is almost chemical. very light tasting throughout the pint. Not worth $4.50! Not worth $2

Bottle. Pours a hazy gold with a small lasting white head (Unlike many others, I’m not getting any pink at all, weird). Aroma of wheat, yeast and berries -- it’s simple but it doesn’t smell as bad as the other ratings led me to believe. Watery flavour of wheat, malt and raspberries with a hint of hops in the finish. Light bodied. For what it is it’s O.K., I’ve definitely had much worse Fruit beers.

Living up to it’s name - it had a purple tint and was hazy from the raspberry additive. Being new to the fruit beer scene - this one definitely did not help to keep me coming back. The aroma was fairly strong and smelled more of wheat than raspberry; the taste of raspberry was a little too sweet with wheat undertones. Carbination is almost non-existant resulting in minimal head. Overall, this beer did not impress me and didn’t leave me wanting more...good thing I didn’t buy a 6-pk.

More raspberry than wheat (unfortunately) with a gold color, no hop at all, and a sugary finish. Aroma was to be desired for a fruit beer, almost non-existent. Two sips may give you a hangover headache to regret.

Bottled. Great smell, but a taste like raspberry sparkling water with an intial beer taste. Goes down like water too, not satisfying, and not very fruity. Was enjoyable once I accepted it was more of a very carbonated raspberry juice, and it got better as it warmed up.
