Like most flavored beers, this beer has been spat upon over and over, yet once again, Purple Haze does what it’s supposed to (and quite well I must say) It’s a raspberry beer, not a worthless "bitch beer," but I real beer with a great taste, and it has a great look to it, worthy of its name and a lot more respect.

I really like this beer! It’s one that for me is satisfying and one that you really don’t have to think too much about to enjoy. Very dry, tart, crisp and thirst quenching!! Refreshing!

Dremo’s, Arlington VA, on tap. Purple soda tasting... would like it a little heavier. Maybe add some butter to the mix. No, really, don’t.

Bottle. Sweet raspberry malt aroma - a bit like the sweeter lambic framboise beers. Moderately cloudy - pinkish amber color with small head. Slightly sour, light raspberry malt flavor - really expected it to be sweeter from the aroma. Very little body. Pretty weak and bland.

Nasty. The raspberries totally ruin the taste of the beer. I understand it’s supposed to be a raspberry beer, but some things just don’t do well together.

12oz Bottle: Not the best, but not the worst. Not exactly what was expected either. Pours a sort of pinkish gold color, cloudy like typical wheat/hefeweizen types. Head quickly forms and disipates, was sort of pinkish though. The taste was very light and thin, with the slightest hint of berries. Honestly, from reading the other reviews, I would have expected it to be like a can of Hawaiian Punch, but it seemed to be more like someone let a Jolly Rancher dissolve in my glass. Overall, a very weak tasting brew. It didn’t leave any weird aftertaste in my mouth at least, but that would have been better than the nothing it came or went with. Disappointing. At least it was only a single and didn’t commit to a sixer of it.

Bottle (12oz). Poured cloudy pink-orange with a soapy lasting vaguely pinkish-white head. Aroma is vague sour strawberry-raspberry jam - there’s some unpleasant vegetal nastiness that appears as it warms from absolute zero. Taste is wheaty grain with vague raspberry Snapple notes. Mouthfeel is ... well, I dunno - creamy and sugary? Avoid this one.

This beer pours amber with a purple tint/haze to it. it smells of berries sweet spices, almost like a fruit punch. very interesting flavor! Not sure that I like it all that much, but it isn’t bad I guess... very sweet and raspberry flavor.
