Strawberry smell on the nose, not raspberry. Almost a wine like smell. Taste of grape, clean fruits. Borders on gimmick but ok in a pinch.

Not as much raspberry as I expected. Ok beer. Would like to see it in a wheat ale.

Pours a hazy gold-orange with a small white head. Aroma of wheat, yeast and fruit (berries). Tastes of wheat, malt and raspberries with a bit of hops in the finish-- watery flavour. Thin bodied.

For a fruit beer, the Purple Haze is not overly sweet, but is instead rather dry. Also, by not being a hef, it is a little darker and more substantial than you might expect. Still, very refreshing!

Canned, 355 ml from supermarket in Brooklyn. Pours hazy orange with unclear white head. Fruit aroma. Fruit and wheat in flavor. Sweetish, Can’t say I’ve enjoyed it.

Old rating. Amber colored. Dank hops with a touch of raspberry. Thin and watery. Eh.

6 oz pour from a refrigerated bottle into a shaker pint. A hint of a head, though not much. Hazy and opaque. Tan to orange. Nose is wheat, yeast, and raspberry. Body is medium-thin. A bit of notable carbonation. Crisp and a bit tart. Strong taste of wheat. The raspberry is much subtler than I expected. There’s also less sweetness than I expected. Fairly well balanced. This would be a great beer for sipping outside in the summer. Light and refreshing.

I first tried this beer a few years ago in New Orleans, and thought it was ok....so I bought it recently to try it again. Didn’t really do too much for me the second time around. Found it to be like the typical shwaggy domestic beer, wouldn’t compare it to any of the microbrews. I only noticed a trace amount of the fruit flavor, as it is added and I don’t think actually brewed with in the process. Is this a beer...or a malt beverage, as it has the body and taste similiar to a malt beverage. Kinda like a fruity Mickeys.

LIght gold hazy, off-white head. Grainy wheat, earthy raspberry, some light floral notes. Raspberry fairly strong.

Twelve ounce bottle from Abita variety 12 pack purchased at Jeff’s Marathon, tasted on April 2, 2015. Hazy amber hue with slight purple (?) color tint, pungent raspberry, unimpressive tart astringent flavor, cheap tasting. Certainly not the best beer from Abita.

Great aroma of raspberries with a hue to match, just lightly red. A little thin but to be expected from a 4.2%ABV beer. Refreshing!
