Aroma is of grape and raspberry. Cloudy golden orange appearance with a creamy white head that sticks around. Taste is that of berries and wheat, better out of a bottle than when poured into a pint glass or snifter. Palate is tart with fizzy carbonation. Overall a good beer to have once in a blue moon. Not a beer to drink many of.

not much to say about this one. it tastes like a watered down raspberry lambic. nothing special at all but at the same time not offensive. i suppose girls would like this.

An endearing beer. Decent balance between beer and fruit taste. Good to get people away from the Bud Light and Miller Lite they would normally reach for but by no means a great beer. Generally not worth the premium paid for it though.

Ha, honestly thought this wasn’t too bad. Its exactly what the label says it is. Its a hazy, raspberry wheat beer. The fruit flavor isn’t too overwhelming. Its light. Easy drinking here. Doesn’t have much of an aroma, but to be honest I thought this was a pretty decent session beer.

UPDATED: SEP 2, 2003 Better than expected. Fruity flavor as advertised but not enough to over power the entire beer. Bit of bite at the finish. Much more flavor when had on tap.

Pours a hazy orange brown color, disapointingly not purple, with a thin white head. On the nose, aromas of fresh rasberries, citrus, and carot cake. Medium bodied with satisfying mouthfeel. On the palate, suggestions of tart rasberries, cake with fruit jam, and peach puree. Not overwelmingly sweet, and surprisingly refreshing. Try with sweet and sour chinese dish, cherries jubilee, or a salad with peacans and rasberry vinagerette dressing.

What an abject failure this is. After succumbing to girldom and actually enjoying a Leinenkugel Razz (yikes!), I decided to give Purple Haze a try. Figured at $10.49 a sixer there was some value here. Decimal point should’ve been moved over one place. I certainly smelled the raspberries, but the taste was so watery I couldn’t even classify this as beer. There was no bitterness whatsoever, no carbonation, no anything that would resemble some yeasty, malty, hoppy, alcoholic beverage. Seriously, I thought this was flavored water from Kroger. Actually, judging from the way it looked, it may have been raspberry juice. That may have been the intent of the beer for all I know.

Not sure what to say about this... i see it everywhere and decided to try it. Cloudy color... sweet smell. Sweet taste. Too sweet for me. Im not really sure i would call this beer. Its a bit like a very plain dessert. It might be your thing but its not mine. I had to force it down
