COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Abita Purple Haze is a crisp, American style wheat beer with fresh raspberries added during secondary fermentation. Subtle coloration, fruity aroma and tartly sweet taste.

Boring. Everything is boring aboutvthe beer. Taste of raspberries leaves the palate as soon as it gets there.

Looks can be decieving. It pours with a slightly cloudy, almost purple hinted color. Aromas of raspberries are there. The flovor is nice and crisp. Not too sweet...

Like the name says, a long long strange trip. This beer doesn't know what it wants to be. Not really an ale and not really a lambic. Smells like medicine. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

tastes like an ok wheat beer with raspberry flavoring added. I don't get it, why make a below average gimmick beer out of what probably would have been a drinkable wheat beer? give it as a gag gift.

Well like many of you I bought this strickly due to the label. During the entire experience I was trying to find something purple about it. Lighter in color and flavor, but cerainly not "bad". Not my favorite fruit beer.

A very good fruity tasting beer. Not one which is too overwhelming with fruit taste. Has an excellent beer taste as well.

I had one of these quite a while back, so I am trying to catch up on my beer exploits. It’s quite a fruity beer, light on any malty or hoppy characteristics. It’s more akin to a fruit beer than that of a wheat beer. A nice refreshing beer.

UPDATED: OCT 31, 2005 A little sweet for my taste. Drank this in college several times. Has a raspberry aftertaste that I prefer not to have when drinking beer. Like chewing Bubilicious and drinking beer at the same time.

great wheat beer, smell of raspberrys is not overwhelming, nor is the flavor. It is slightly sweet, but not too much. Nice summer beer

Purple Haze. Recommended by a friend and I thought it sounded neat because of the berry flavor.
