Abita Purple Haze is a crisp, American style wheat beer with fresh raspberries added during secondary fermentation. Subtle coloration, fruity aroma and tartly sweet taste.

Very cool hazy color. Has a little too much citrus and fruit to it, but it is fun to look at.

The appearance is golden brown but very cloudy. This is the only "fruit" infused beer that I enjoy because the taste is just a slight hint of raspberry. Oftentimes fruit infused beers can be over powered by the taste of the fruit. There is limited head at the top of this beer and the pour is very smooth. The taste is sweet upfront with a sweet finish. Well worth the purchase ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Decided to pick up a six pack because the wife is into fruit beers. Poured hazy, just like the description with little head and low retention. Nose had definite berry. Highly carbonated, sweet, tart - candylike. Finish was abrupt and malty.

You may remember the good times from Níawlinís but thatís about all this beer has going for it! Not much aroma but it has a nice malt base, a slight raspberry flavor. The fruit also gives it a gentle tartness which works pretty well. One more thing; I need to dispel the myth that this is a womanís beer. Itís a fact guys - a sad and sorry fact - that more men drink this than women!

Bottle: strangely tasted like thin flavorless beer with a strange raspberry flavor.. not really a good raspberry, but strange raspberry.

Cloudy gold. Nose and palate dominated by raspberry. Cider-like, cloying and fizzy with a short finish.

bottle. I think itís pretty OK. light and sweet start with a rather tart but still pleasant finish. Was a nice drink to beat the heat.

Murky reddish yellow pour with a thin white head. Aroma was slight with wheat and fruit. Tasted very mild with small hints of rasberry and grass.

Pours cloudy amber with a decent sized white head. Nose is faint wheat. Taste is simple with wheat and raspberries. Mouthfeel is light. Decent, but nothing amazing happening here.
