Bottle at Norfolk (US) beer festival. Dark maroon, scant tan head. Mild fruit aroma, fairly plain flavor, decent malt and sweetish raspberry, inadequately balanced. OK, but not great.

I felt betrayed when I tried this beer. Abita, although not a risk taker, usually produces solid malt beverages. This was so overwhemingly fruited up, I could not finish the bottle.
2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 Drake (5229) - Charlottesville, Virginia, USA - NOV 17, 2007
Bottle. Weak wheat taste and the fruit comes through as just a sourness. Not real fruity. Drinkable, but I don’t think this is as good as it used to be.
2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 Ernest (5181) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - NOV 19, 2004
Head is initially small, frothy, off-white, mostly diminishing. Body is hazy light amber, bottle conditioned. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), with light notes of raspberry and dish rag. Flavor is moderately sweet, moderately acidic. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Light to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Mostly inoffensive, but bland and kinda has a little of that dirty dish rag smell that New Belgium Frambozen has.
1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 DruncanVeasey (5136) - NUNEATON, Blue Square Prem, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - NOV 1, 2010
Bottle walking round The Luxor goggling. No idea what the beer looks like, but I can imagine. Fizz, raspberry Pavlova, weak finishing biscuit with drying aspartame afters. Right up there with the most noxious, synthetic-flavoured Belgian fruit concoctions. Tastes like it’s been put together in a lab, not a brewery. Pretty nasty.
2.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 shrubber85 (5032) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - NOV 14, 2005
Bottle. Sweet raspberry malt aroma - a bit like the sweeter lambic framboise beers. Moderately cloudy - pinkish amber color with small head. Slightly sour, light raspberry malt flavor - really expected it to be sweeter from the aroma. Very little body. Pretty weak and bland.
1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 BBB63 (5022) - La Porte, Indiana, USA - JUL 17, 2003
Hazy golden hue with small head and minimal lacing. Some wheat aromatics with an very minor raspberry hint. Weird taste, almost sour and spicey, no real hop or malt characteristics to be found. Very acidic finish. Watery and fizzy mouthfeel. Not recommended unless severely drunk at Mardi Gras while in Nawleans.

Hazy dark honey color. Light off pink head that goes away quickly. Actually does have a light pale malt aroma. Raspberry syrup flavor, much like adding a small amout of grenadine to an american standard. Another koolaid brew.

bottle, finally tried this beer with other fruit styles, slight pink purple color with grapey nose, flavor is very slight grape or berry with a light finish
2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 beerguy101 (4921) - Newark, California, USA - DEC 28, 2002
Medium gold color, slightly pinkish and slightly cloudy. Small to no head. Aroma is raspberry at the start but fades to a little maltyness. A fairly typical and very average fruit wheat beer. Berry flavor is mild and pretty subdued, it is also a little too sweet, so it just as well the flavor is mild. Pretty average. Mouthfeel is neutral. Finish is clean. Aftertaste s slightly bitter.
