I love this one when I can find it on tap. Malty and sweet. I don't know the inspiration behind this one, but if the Hendrix song had a flavor, it would be this beer

Well , being originally from New Orleans I tend to want to defend this beer, b/c i’ve been to their brewery and know people that have worked there, but alas, I agree with the folks in this list... It is a bit of a let down b/c: Yes, it is a little flat. Yes, the berry flavor is too subtle (would rather be drinking a fruit soda pop), Yes, the label is better than the taste. Yes, the finsih has alot to be desired. In conclusion: Get Turbo Dog, for one last try for a decent Abita Brewery Beer. Maybe if everyone sends them our comments, they’ll work on the recipe and improve it... LOL

The aroma was enticing, but it belied the rather shallow flavor. Good appearance. Smooth finish, again, not as fruity as the aroma would lead one to believe.

Strange cloudy appearance hides a smooth fruity taste accented with a pleasant nutty aroma

Too fruity for my tastes. Not a terrible beer, but not a good one either.

A very good beer for what it is. This is an excellent wheat beer with a nice fresh raspberry taste. Not too sweet, and not to snobby. This is a good drinkable warm weather beer. A score of 20 or below is very un just.

Living up to it’s name - it had a purple tint and was hazy from the raspberry additive. Being new to the fruit beer scene - this one definitely did not help to keep me coming back. The aroma was fairly strong and smelled more of wheat than raspberry; the taste of raspberry was a little too sweet with wheat undertones. Carbination is almost non-existant resulting in minimal head. Overall, this beer did not impress me and didn’t leave me wanting more...good thing I didn’t buy a 6-pk.

I love this stuff!! It’s a great tasting beer with a unique and pleasant appearance. It finished with no aftertaste. This is a simple and light beer that’s great when you’re eating bar food or just having a few.

This one has a light weat and raspberry scent. I loved the light flavor of raspberry as well, i just wish it was a bit more pronounced. Over all I quite liked it.
