Looked like a hefeweizen, but tasted more like a typical lager. Still, very refreshing with a hint of fruity flavor in the finish

Not bad. The raspberry taste is not at all overwhelming. A great summer beer. At first the raspberry flavor is somewhat strong, but the wheat beer style keeps it from tasting overly sweet.

This is definitely a chick beer. Perfect for moving your aldy away from the more mainstream stuff

Enjoyed one of these on draft. Pleasant, but not too overwhelming, rasberry aroma and taste. A bartender told me that women tend to like this one. I disagree with the rater who called this an alcopop - this is beer.

Not a big fan of fruit beers, I did not expect much from Purple Haze. But, turns out it’s Abita’s most quality offering. Has a nice light reddish hue, with a white frothy head. Subtle, yet unmistakable, rasberry aftertaste. Done in moderation, the rasberry is tastefully done, and as such, is quite tasty. A very solid bery; nice mix of sweetness and creaminess. Do not be afraid.

Pours a hazy light orange/amber color. Raspberry aroma is quite pleasant. Taste is interesting, but this is one of the few beers that seems to NOT get better as the glass is less full. Kinda like Michelob Hefe, with authentic raspberry flavor.

From tap at Yard House in San Diego. Pours hazy deep orange with a small white head. Aroma is crisp orange and tangerine fruity. Mild citric base flavour, rather dry yet refreshing with a bitterness making the finish even more dry and crisp.
