I was really excited to try this one as I quite enjoy fruit beers for the most part. This bottle poured with a small, quickly dissipating head of white bubbles giving way to no lacing to speak of. The aroma is - well, really there is not much of an aroma at all as far as I can tell. Perhaps some wheat. The beer is a nice orangey / weak iced tea color and is cloudy. It is rather tart on the tongue at first but warms up and presents it’s medium body in a sweetness that is reminiscent of raspberry jam. Aftertaste is unremarkable - somewhat tart with some bitterness. An okay beer but not impressive and there are other fruit beers that are far more palatable.

Aug 21, 2008 This smelled and looked really good. Cloudy, rasberry’s and yeast....but this dissapointed it’s too sweet which I thought with the rasberry’s being fresh and not artificial it would be sour and not sweet, but it was and it masks what may be a good wheat underneath.

Aug 17, 2008 12 oz. bottle courtesy of another friend at a tasting. Several fruit beers, eh? This bad boy looked really good on pour, cloudy muted gold color with a decent head that unfortunately dissipates quickly. Lighter raspberry aromas that are light upon taste and mour sour than sweet (Always a plus). Some wheaty malt characteristics that are very enjoyable. More refreshing and lighter bodied than the other offering I had, but less taste and character. A decent fruit beer that I’d drink again.

Aug 16, 2008 12oz bottle. Pours a cloudy orange with 2 finger off-white head. Nose is mainly sweet wheat with some raspberries in the background. Taste is malt and wheat with raspberries in the finish. Medium mouth feel. I’ve put off trying this beer as I thought it would be too sweet and fruity, but the raspberry flavor complement the taste rather than dominates. That being said, it’s still not that great but better than I thought it would be.

Aug 11, 2008 Not what I expected. Smooth, drinkable, refreshing, only slightly sweet with a hint of raspberry. Maybe a little too watery, but otherwise a good summer beer. Appearance is a cloudy gold - maybe a slight purple haze but tough to tell.

Aug 9, 2008 Bottle sampled at NFB&WF ’08 at Martha Clara Vineyards. Pours a hazy pale gold, no evidence of purple haze. Light aroma of raspberry. Flavor is dominated by raspberry with some wheat. An ok fruit beer I suppose, although I personally prefer my summer fruit beers with blueberries.
