UPDATED: DEC 1, 2011 Cloudy Yellow with a quickly dissipating head. Smells inviting with a real mix of aromas. Light, refreshing, but very flavorful. Overall, a strong wit with a reasonable sticker price.

It poured a hazy golden color with a white head. The aroma was sweet, coriander and citrus fruit juice, with some wheat. The taste was dry citrus fruits and wheat with a little seltzer.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 jcweaver (439) - VA Beach, Virginia, USA - SEP 26, 2011
Pours a hazy yellow with a fine white head. Aroma/flavor of slightly sweet orange and some light spices (coriander?). As with most Abita brews, something in the finish is slightly off. Overall fairly drinkable and decent for the style.
3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 AWMiller (512) - Mansfield, Texas, USA - SEP 21, 2011
UPDATED: SEP 28, 2011 A very refreshing witbier (white beer)! This brew poured up a hazy amber-colored body with a nice foamy head with good retention and lacing. Lots of fruits (pears and apricots with a touch of lemon) and lemon-grass suit up for a nice bright bitter bite followed up with a smooth sweet finish. The body is very light and with an ease of drinkability that you need to keep track of how many you are having! Definitely a good brew to have on-hand during the summer months!

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 dcschiller (1665) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - AUG 30, 2011
(12oz bottle from Total Wine Desert Ridge). Pours a cloudy straw color with minimal white head. Effervescent carbonation and some satsuma sediment in suspension. Aroma has some rock candy, citrus, spice and some grassy notes. Taste is sweet with a little sour twang from the citrus. Thin bodied with an oily texture. A slightly bitter (like citrus pith?) finish. Not bad. One of the better offerings from Abita.
