Found this one bottled at Binny’s in St. Charles, Illinois. Light orange, bright hazy pour, very bubbly, foamy, eggshell white head, slightly spicy nose, very pronounced orange and allspice flavor, slightly dry and spicy finish. For the style, this is a relatively boring, but quaffable beer.

Hazy orange, thin disappearing white head. Aroma- orange rind and wheat. Taste is murky fruit and sweet grain. Thin body but a clean finish.

This was ok, not my favorite from Abita. Hazy appearance with citrus aromas and a sort of spicy wheat/citrus flavor.

Pours hazy yellow with a snow white head. The aroma has lightly bready malt, smooth orange, some lively spice and light mustiness. It has a medium body that’s a bit more full than most wits and there is some harsh carbonation. The flavor starts with what’s on the aroma, but is on the watery side with phenolic spice. The finish is much of the same. Fair.

Aroma of orange peel and coriander. Poured a hazy unfiltered pale yellow color with good lacing and moderate head retention. I tasted notes of citrus, earthy leaves, and ginger, but had an unfortunate watered down finish. I liked this beer more than most people on ratebeer. I agree it’s lighter than most wit beers, but I still think it’s worth a try, especially for those who enjoy wheat beers.

[Bottle] Pours a hazy yellow color with about a fingers worth of white head. Aroma of spice and light grains. The taste includes some yeast, clove and moderate citrus notes. Fine carbonation gives this beer a surprisingly decent palate for the style. Light coriander and grass notes finish it off. I usually like Wit beers, but this one left a bit to be desired.

Pours a very hazy yellow (light orange hint to it) with a thin white head. Aroma has a heavy citrus note with lots of lemon, a very tart sourness, a modest amount of wheat with a light spiciness to it. Flavor has a wheat note early but then fades to a light orange, light vanilla, overall pretty sweet. It almost has a hint of cream soda in it. Body of the beer is pretty heavy and has a dense creamy feeling. Overall not too bad of a brew and the first time I have ever tasted anything that is satsuma.

bottle. Pours piss yellow, thin head. Aroma of hay and yeast. Flavor is wheat, tastes better than it smells. Some spice. Surprisingly better than I thought it would be.
