WHY?? I ask myself, Why do I keep trying stuff from this brewery? Guess it is because I find them on the singles rack and hope that one day I will find something good. Today was not that day. Another rancid foul tasting brew that is just all wrong. Still wondering how this brewery can keep missing it. Think it might be the water because surely the malts and hops are not giving it that bad taste. Well unless they are using molded malts and hops, but who would be so dumb to do that. Got half way through this and poured the rest out. Just couldn’t finish it.

Clear golden colour, white head. Aroma of straw, malts, light green banana. Light bitter flavour, sweet malts, straw. Sweet finish.

I kinda expected this to be total balls but this is more than solid. It is cloudy for some reason I can’t imagine and has a thin, long-lasting white head w/ spots of lacing. This is very hop-forward and floral perfumy and it has a full body while still being reasonably dry. A nice prickle of fine carbonation helps lighten things and keep it drinkable. It finishes w/ just a touch of bitterness. I am not sure what I’d call this other than a pils but it doesn’t seem quite to style to me. Regardless, I didn’t expect to like this and I did. I am not generally a huge fan of Abita but I give them lots of credit for this.

12 oz bottle, best before 9/22/15, so it’s a couple days over.
Hazy pale yellow, with a thin white head above lively carbonation.
Aroma is grainy, light bready malt, grassy, lemony hops.
Flavor is grainy, bready, citrusy hops.
Body is light, and it goes down easy, so there’s that.

Bottle. Pours a clear yellow gold body under a one inch frothy and foamy white head that left a bit of sticky lacing. The nose is soft bready and doughy pils mat with just a light hint of floral hops. The flavor is pretty solid, one of the best Abita beers I think I’ve ever had. Nicely dry, lots of bready maltiness, sufficient crisp noble hoppiness with just the right amount of bitterness. Finishes softly and dry with a lingering hoppiness. Light bodied and soft with gentle carbonation. Pretty darn good stuff.

something going on here with busy enough body and flavor for a pils. tangy character like grapefruit and sometimes annoying. fuller and kinda fruity caramel butterscotch....perhaps like artificial. cereal malt is abundant enough

Bottled. Yeah so a bit of pilsner saaz hops but watery, you know the drill here. Nothing more.

(En fût au T. Boyle’s Tavern): Des notes fromagées, subtilement ferreuses et fruités dans un liquide qui ne tombe pas complètement dans le générique.

Bottle. Light lemon and malt aroma. Golden yellow with large off-white head. Lightly sweet malt and moderately bitter grapefruit peel flavor. Light body. Just like most other Abita offerings, not much here.

Poured a clear yellow color from the bottle with aromas of light lemon, malt, some grass, and a touch of pilsner. Flavors are a light classic pilsner with some light lemon thrown in. Decent for a summer afternoon after cutting the grass.
