COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Triple Haze is a take on one of our most popular year round offerings, Purple Haze. It is a strong golden lager made with malted barley and wheat. It is hopped with German Perle hops to give the beer a delicate hop flavor. After the beer is filtered, a generous amount of fresh raspberry puree is added. This gives the beer a tartly sweet taste and aroma as well as a bright purple color and haze.

Pours a cloudy reddish gold color with an average off-white head. Good lacing. Aroma is very fruity, and floral hops, with some funky yeast. Medium body with a sticky texture and soft carbonation. Moderate tart berry flavor with a hint of window cleaner. Something is off here.

Rasberry and chemical aroma. If this is actually 8%, it’s extremely well hidden. A good summery quencher with plenty of berry character. Hazy golden with a small ring of pinkish white head.

On tap at Ole Saint. Pours a hazy orange with small off white head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is wheat, berry, herbal. Thin mouth, berry, wheat, not as watery as regular haze, decent.

Aroma is raspberries and mild spices and nuttiness. The flavor is raspberries, wheat, slightly drying in the middle and a tart/sweetish finish.

Abita Triple Haze has a thick, white head, a hazy, golden appearance, and lots of lacing left behind. The aroma is of a very mild beer smell (almost of a light lager, oddly), and the flavor is of strong, fairly bitter, slightly sour high gravity malt liquor, with a raspberry background and a white bread undertaste. Mouthfeel is medium to heavy, and Abita Triple Haze finishes mostly dry and boozy. This is sort of like an Andygator mixed with fruit puree and showing characteristics of Busch beer. Strange, but interesting. RJT

On tap. Hazy amber body with white head. Musty raspberry, dusty pils malt, herbal aromas. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Lightly sweet raspberry juice flavors with herbs, and bready maltage---tangy fruity finish___good.

1/30/16. On tap, Craft on Draft. Golden orange pour under a small khaki cap. This beer wasn’t great, but not nearly as awful as I was expecting. Sweet aroma, table sugar, light booze aspect, sweet generic berry. Lightly sweet flavor, light sweet berry, candy sugar, doughy and grainy. Eh.

Kind of a cool color….blonde-amber with a purple twinge. The beer itself was pretty grainy, boozy, with a raspberry wallop. Eh.
