Aromas of dough, yeast and sweet vanilla malts. Clear yellow color with a medium sized foam. Pleasant wheat, barley, lemon, bread and yeast flavors with a light, bitter hop characteristics on the finish. Somewhat syrupy malt texture with subtle carbonation. Overall, this is a delicious pilsener with mainly bready sweet malts and a slight bittering hop taste. I’d give this a B+ rating.

Clear golden yellow with slighly off white thick foam, lacing to the glass. Smell is bitter, like beer should smell. Taste although is a bit sweet, but a bitter after taste. This beer pours a pale yellow color with a medium thick and pillowy white head that evaporates slowly. Patches of lacing on the glass. The aroma consists of wheat, spice and malt. Medium body with flavors of bready malt, mild spices, wheat and a touch of hops. The finish is malty with a sweet aftertaste. Decent overall.

Bottle. Golden, hazy, average and mostly diminishing head. Moderate malty -lightly wheaty and sweetish aroma, ligth fruitiness with light citrus - grassy hoppyness. Body is medium, malty - lightly wheaty and lightly sweetish flavor, light fruitiness and light grassy hoppyness, faint alcohol. Finish is average, malty - lightly wheaty and lightly sweetish, some grassy hoppyness, light alcohol. OK Imperial Pils - not too sweet/not too much alcoholconsidering the body and bitterness.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Voodoo (83) - Pennsylvania, USA - APR 19, 2012
Pours a full golden color with a light head. Initial taste is honey, slight hops and nice full maltiness for a pils. I’m not a pils fan, but this is a good one and saving the shoreline? An added bonus.

Probably my favorite of the Abita night. A nice hop aroma and taste. Notes of caramel malt and they give to charity.
Not a bad brew.
3.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Forb (26) - - MAR 13, 2012
Poured from a 650ml bottle...
Appearance: Pours a solid golden hue with a beautiful fluffy / creamy head that leaves sticky lacing all over the glass.
Smell: A great hop aura breaks through first with piney / yeasty elements inviting me in.
Taste: This one has an ! of a flavor. A nice earthy hop and bready malt combination balances this one favorably.
Mouthfeel: Lightly carbonated on a light-medium body.
Overall: A delicious introduction to Abita! Plus... there can’t be a better reason to buy beer than to donate to a cause!! Cheers!
