Spring IPA (March-May) is a West Coast-style IPA with an up-front intense hop flavor and aroma. Amarillo and Centennial hops give the brew a rich and resinous flavor of citrus and spice. This bright pale ale has a malt sweetness that will give way to a pleasant bitter. It pairs well with Mexican or spicy Szechwan Chinese food. Spring IPA is a nice accompaniment for cheeses with strong flavors, like sharp cheddar or goat cheese.

Light but flavorful. I got it in a build your own six pack and went back a few days later for more.

Mellow hop and malt blend, with limited bitterness and nothing unusual. Wouldn’t buy again.

Bottle from Whole Foods. Pours hazy dark straw with off-white head. Nose is pale malt, fruity hops, berry, black pepper. Tasted crispm fairly complex, with a smooth, fruity peppery hoppy finish. Not bad at all.

Medium sized white head with good retention and lacing. Lightly hazy, gold colored brew. Pleasant nose of citrus and parfumes with a hint of grainy, pale malts. Body is light, good carbonation and light resin. Nice, fruity hop flavors, hint tropical and juicy citrus notes and a solid pale malt backing. Fairly dry finish is fruity and juicy, tame bite that works well with this brew. A LOT better than expected for Abita. 12oz. bottle from statelineliquors. nice lil quaffer!

MrBunn (2528) - The Wet Side of a Dry Town, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 14, 2014
Bottle. Pours a slightly dingy gold with a medium to thin head and aromas of grain silo dust with a little perfumed soap. Flavor is grainy and bitter with little hops direction to make things interesting. This would be pointless as a Pale Ale, and as an IPA it is very, very weak.

MaltOne (257) - Wisconsin, USA - APR 12, 2014
UPDATED: APR 14, 2014 Pours slightly hazy, buttery orange with a moderate white head. Nose is apricot/peach and citrus zest, a little clean resin. Flavor is light at first with a bloom of hop bitterness in the finish - the hint of apricot/peach throughout. Body is medium light, with clean palate. A nice effort for Abita. Overall, nice refreshing, straightforward beer.

Bottle - Sweet piney freshness and caramel backbone. Clear copper gold with a rich white head. Sweet candyfloss with mellow hops and big sweetness. Light bitterness throughout and a touch of spice. A very mellow and easy drinking but sweet IPA.

Finhead (1299) - OFallon, Illinois, USA - APR 1, 2014
Slightly hazy, orange-yellow pour with a rocky, white head. The aroma has spicy hops with grapefruit and light grass. It has a medium body with oily texture and average carbonation. The taste is well-balanced with bittersweet flavor and a quick, neutral finish.
