COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Spring IPA (March-May) is a West Coast-style IPA with an up-front intense hop flavor and aroma. Amarillo and Centennial hops give the brew a rich and resinous flavor of citrus and spice. This bright pale ale has a malt sweetness that will give way to a pleasant bitter. It pairs well with Mexican or spicy Szechwan Chinese food. Spring IPA is a nice accompaniment for cheeses with strong flavors, like sharp cheddar or goat cheese.

Clear amber color with ivory head. Nice tooty fruity, orange marmalade, creamsicle aromas. medium body, average carbonation. Bittersweet orange, tangerine, tropical fruit, marmalade flavors with spicy hoppage. Nicely drying bitter finish---West Coast IPA Gulf Coast style-- very tasty when fresh

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, best before 8/15/2013. Pours lightly hazy golden orange color with a 2 finger dense off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange zest, floral, light pine, grass, light caramel, bread, light nuttiness, and floral earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of hop notes with a moderate malt balance; and good strength. Taste of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange zest, floral, pine, caramel, toffee, toast, bread, grass, light nuttiness, and floral earthiness. Fair amount of floral/pine bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of citrus, citrus zest, floral, pine, caramel, toffee, toast, bread, and floral earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance of citrus hops with a moderate malt balance; and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a smooth, crisp, and moderately sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a light warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a very nice IPA. All around good balance and complexity of hop and malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

12 ounce bottle from Wine Warehouse. Pours a hazy amber color with a medium sized creamy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of citrus, floral and candied citrus hops. The taste is intense candied citrus, some fresh citrus and mild caramel malts. Medium bodied. Decent.

Crisp slightly hazy light copper body with an orange glow and a nice, one centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of very nice grassy and floral hops with a perfumey kick and some nice yeast and lemon scents as well - very nice dry hopping here. Medium-bodied; Good noticeable grassy and herbal hop flavours at first give way to a good balance of malt and light yeast. Aftertaste shows some herbs and grass, but is fairly mellow and not bitter at all - nice and smooth. Overall, a nice lighter IPA with some good dry hopping, but the actual hops during boil are quite a bit less than expected - that said, still a nice beer for the Spring & Summer and a good refreshing IPA. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from World Market in Falls Church (Skyline), Virginia on 12-June-2013 for US$8.99/six pack, sampled at home in Washington on 08-July-2013.

So I guess this one is a bit old. Pours the color of Bud heavy, but with a more aggressive head. Aromas of stale hops, lemon. Heavy lemon on the first sip. Cleaning products, bitter ass crust, candy. finishes with a cocklash. Not very good.

bottle. Golden with one finger head. Light body but strangely sweet with mild hops. Not awful, but certainly not good.
