COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Spring IPA (March-May) is a West Coast-style IPA with an up-front intense hop flavor and aroma. Amarillo and Centennial hops give the brew a rich and resinous flavor of citrus and spice. This bright pale ale has a malt sweetness that will give way to a pleasant bitter. It pairs well with Mexican or spicy Szechwan Chinese food. Spring IPA is a nice accompaniment for cheeses with strong flavors, like sharp cheddar or goat cheese.

Bottle from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours golden amber with a 3 finger off-white head. Nice citrus aroma. Med body or near. Flavor is firm citrus over mild caramel with some spice. Itís bitter, but itís not harsh. It almost imparts a hop burn. Well it builds to a hop burn. Itís not as hopped as the hoppiest NW brews, but it qualifies as West Coast. Iím thinking this is underrated.

Orange pour with a white head. Nose is extremely sweet. Like lemon candies and vanilla. Some floral hops, bread, mild caramel, sugar, and grass. The flavor is just as sweet. Lots of bread, caramel, sugar, and candied lemon. Hints of vanilla, mild grape, grass, and some floral hops. Very minimal bitterness.

12 ounce bottle from Wine Warehouse. Pours a hazy amber color with a medium sized creamy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of citrus, floral and candied citrus hops. The taste is intense candied citrus, some fresh citrus and mild caramel malts. Medium bodied. Decent.

Bottle from Whole Foods. Pours hazy dark straw with off-white head. Nose is pale malt, fruity hops, berry, black pepper. Tasted crispm fairly complex, with a smooth, fruity peppery hoppy finish. Not bad at all.

12oz bottle pours with a slight hazed gold body with copper hues and supporting a light tan head of foam. The aroma offers up citrus and pine hoppy goodness grounded in sweet maltiness. The taste has pleasing grapefruit and tangelo like citrusy hops that are sweetened up nicely with malts but they still seem to maintain a hoppy bitter bite with a pine to almost floral hop bitterness. OK, very nice IPA and my new favorite from Abita, by a wide margin too. My second favorite scores a 3.5. Iíd be happy to try this again.

Bottle. Slightly murky orange pour with a nice frothy off-white head. Nice aroma of resin and citrus. Hopes were high, but the taste fell a little flat for me - not bad, but it comes across as a bit unbalanced and overly astringent late.

12oz bottle, from Party Source. Best by 7/19/13. Mostly clear yellow orange color. Decent thin white head, leaves little loose dots of lace. Medium body. Kind of soft, sort of smooth mild to moderate strength carbonation. Lightly dry in the finish. Some orange citrus, lightly spicy hops. More biscuity malt. Light bitter taste, some more zesty sweetness. Lightly soapy taste. An OK IPA... Not as quaffable as it should be, for me... I havenít had the Jockomo in 2 years, but I remember it as being much more drinkable than this

Clear amber color with ivory head. Nice tooty fruity, orange marmalade, creamsicle aromas. medium body, average carbonation. Bittersweet orange, tangerine, tropical fruit, marmalade flavors with spicy hoppage. Nicely drying bitter finish---West Coast IPA Gulf Coast style-- very tasty when fresh
