COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Ripe, red Louisiana strawberries are harvested at the peak of the season in the early morning chill. The scent of the juicy red Ponchatoula berries fills the air as they’re picked and pressed for Abita Strawberry Harvest Lager. The end result is a light, crisp lager with just a hint of strawberry sweetness.

Bottle. Pours yellow with a white head. Sweet aroma of strawberries and vanilla cake. Light, crisp body. Flavor is like that vanilla cake with the layer of strawberry goo in the middle. Pretty good for a fruit beer. I’d have this again with strawberry shortcake.

Bottle pours a clear yellow body with an average white head that leaves some patchy lace. Aroma of strawberries and sweet malts and the taste follows suit. Light body with crisp carbonation helps drinkability. The strawberries dominate but not at all artificial. Pretty good for what it is.

Sample Tasting - Golden hue with white head. Love the aroma of this beer. I like strawberries and there is sweet strawberry flavor throughout. Malty grain, fruity. Some hops aftertaste. Not bad.

Aroma is stronger than the taste, which has a mild sweet to it, strawberry is barely noticeable. Needs some body to top Pete’s.

Pours a dark yellow with a noticeable white head. Strawberry is full in the nose. Taste like a lager that has been mildly sweetened. Great in the summer time.

Strawberry taste only noticeable after some food. Very light lager and very sweet strawberry taste. Could be refreshing...

Those "ripe, red Louisiana strawberries" are front and forward here. This is more of what I expected from Purple Haze. More strawberry throughout than what I remember with Pete’s Strawberry Blonde. A little thin but would be very refreshing on a humid Louisiana day!!!

Pretty good for a fruit beer. Light and refreshing, a little overpowering.

Bottle. Had during the Ghost tour of the French Quarter. Decent fruit beer. Some strawberry aroma. Sweet & perfumy. Pale to medium golden color. probably OK during a hot summer day in the Big Easy
