Commercial Description:
Ripe, red Louisiana strawberries are harvested at the peak of the season in the early morning chill. The scent of the juicy red Ponchatoula berries fills the air as they’re picked and pressed for Abita Strawberry Harvest Lager. The end result is a light, crisp lager with just a hint of strawberry sweetness.

Very light color of straw; slightly hazy. Good near-white head. Light (slippery) lace. I don’t smell any berry unless you count the Frankenberry-like smell. Also, this has a milky lactose nose. Lots of sourness, particularly in the swallow and the aftertaste. The carbonation is quite low. This is an odd flavored beer; not my style.

If you are expecting a sickeningly sweet strawberry flavored beer, this is not it. A great hot weather beer, it is a nice clean crisp lager with an aroma of fresh picked strawberries. The strawberry is almost entirely in the nose and finish. Mouth feel is clean and crisp, nice finish, great for hot summer weather like summer in Houston or New Orleans.

(12oz. bottle) Pours a hazy yellow body with a small white head. Aroma of strawberry ice cream, grain, and husky. Flavor of strawberry yogurt, hops (grass), jelly, and powder sugared waffles.

Crushed with Jakebra. Incredibly light body combined with nast, poop, and, like they said, just a hint of strawberries. Total dumb bitch beer.

Drank it from the bottle so cannot comment on the appearance. I will assume for my rating. Smells of strawberry and some malt. Flavor is like strawberry danish. Reminds me a bit of strawberry soda.

Yellow pour with a white head. Tastes like a very light beer with a cream candy dropped in. Sort of like a pale lager with a creamy finish. Kind of interesting

Pours banana yellow with a small head. I can smell the strawberry right out of the bottle, from 2 feet away. That’s all the aroma is, actually. The strawberry doesn’t end up in the flavor that strongly, however. The flavor is quite dull other than the little bit of strawberry. Thin, highly-carbonated palate, nothing special. Very boring. I have buyer’s remorse on this one. Overall, poor to fair.

There is just a hint of recognizable strawberry here. Unfortunately, it is about the only flavor. Good kind of "foamy" mouthfeel although I almost never discern any difference from one beer to another. This is strange, but not in a particularly good way.
