Commercial Description:
Ripe, red Louisiana strawberries are harvested at the peak of the season in the early morning chill. The scent of the juicy red Ponchatoula berries fills the air as they’re picked and pressed for Abita Strawberry Harvest Lager. The end result is a light, crisp lager with just a hint of strawberry sweetness.

Pours banana yellow with a small head. I can smell the strawberry right out of the bottle, from 2 feet away. That’s all the aroma is, actually. The strawberry doesn’t end up in the flavor that strongly, however. The flavor is quite dull other than the little bit of strawberry. Thin, highly-carbonated palate, nothing special. Very boring. I have buyer’s remorse on this one. Overall, poor to fair.

There is just a hint of recognizable strawberry here. Unfortunately, it is about the only flavor. Good kind of "foamy" mouthfeel although I almost never discern any difference from one beer to another. This is strange, but not in a particularly good way.

bottle, golden yellow with some tight foam, aroma of sweet strawberry, flavor of strawberry, clover, honeysuckle, doesnt venture too far into Big Red country like some other fruit beers

pours a clear golden color with a small white head. Aroma is malt, strawberry, sort of an artificial twizzlers fruit aroma. Flavor is malt, strawberry, artificial sweet strawberry candy flavors. Decent fruit profile but not that great.

This is my favorite fruit beer. It balances the taste of the strawberry with beer very nicely. I taste no artificial sweetness, but i live in louisiana and it is always very fresh. Yellow in color with a thin off white head. Strawberries are immediately tasted and last through the duration of the drink.

(bottle - 12 oz) Clear golden pour with a fizzy white head. Aroma is full of strawberries, but the fake strawberries like those strawberry candies with the liquid center. Flavor has a very, very light strawberry flavor that gets overpowered by the dry, grassy notes of the beer. Finishes clean with a bitter and dry finish. Could’ve used more strawberry flavor.

golden clear, white head. Aroma of strawberry, berries, floral hops. Taste had some malt, strawberry was there but too light, some fruit tartness and hop bitterness. Actually this one wasn’t that bad, just has to be very fresh to be enjoyed. This could be a good beer, but just like purple haze, the fruits seem to get lost in a haze of themselves and become hard to be noticed. They could really make the fruit more present.

Slight hazy yellow gold. Very sweet strawberry aroma. Creamy strawberry taste. Couldn’t drink more than one.
