Apr 9, 2008 I normally enjoy an occasional fruit beer, but this on just didn’t work for me. It was truly like drinking a strawberry soda, minus the sugar.

Aug 15, 2008 Pours a light clear golden coloring, has a breakfast ceral malt aroma with that artifical fruit flavoring, like strawberry quick. A decent lager as a standalone, biscuity albeit grainy cereal maltiness, with a very thin body and fading artifical fruit flavors.

Mar 27, 2008 Those "ripe, red Louisiana strawberries" are front and forward here. This is more of what I expected from Purple Haze. More strawberry throughout than what I remember with Pete’s Strawberry Blonde. A little thin but would be very refreshing on a humid Louisiana day!!!

May 8, 2009 Crushed with Jakebra. Incredibly light body combined with nast, poop, and, like they said, just a hint of strawberries. Total dumb bitch beer.

Sep 19, 2008 Interesting, but I don’t think I would drink this one again. Pours a slightly cloudy blond with a thin white head. Weird ripe strawberry aroma. Large strawberry flavor and very sweet. A bit too much for me.

Jun 18, 2007 Pronounced aroma of butter, with a little cream and hay in the background. Slightly cloudy yellow pour with a medium creamy head. Some glass coating and nice rising streams of carbonation. Very sour strawberry taste at first which mellows by the end of the glass to a more sweeter non-strawberry taste. Virtually no finish. It’s a nice drink, but not very beery.

Apr 24, 2009 pours a clear golden color with a small white head. Aroma is malt, strawberry, sort of an artificial twizzlers fruit aroma. Flavor is malt, strawberry, artificial sweet strawberry candy flavors. Decent fruit profile but not that great.

Aroma: Smell is all strawberries
Appearance: Clear yellow
Flavor: Sweet, plus the lager malt characteristics
Palate:Light body, chewy, lots of carbonation
Overall Impression:
I remember this being a very fruity beer. Too sweet for my liking, but I could see how someone might enjoy it, if that was there type of beer.
