COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Ripe, red Louisiana strawberries are harvested at the peak of the season in the early morning chill. The scent of the juicy red Ponchatoula berries fills the air as they’re picked and pressed for Abita Strawberry Harvest Lager. The end result is a light, crisp lager with just a hint of strawberry sweetness.

Bottle at Sunset Grill, fall 2008. Fairly true strawberry nose boasts of more fruit than beer, though it dosent seem candyish or cloying and there does seem to be some malt crispness on the end. Not any flaws that I can detect and a pretty high strength of aroma. Shockingly reserved in fruit sweetness, with seemingly most of the sugars fermented out. You even get some light pale malt graininess and a lager yeast crispness on the finish. No wateriness, medium-light bodied with no alcohol or flaws perceivable. How this brewery is so hit or miss is beyond me.

Pours a clear straw color with a thin wispy head. Big strawberry aroma. Malt and strawberry aromas. Light body with medium carbonation. Watery mouthfeel. The finish is sweet with a lingering fruitiness. Light and refreshing. Interesting fruit beer.

Not bad at all and that shocked me! Nice murky gold pour with a white head that quickly fades into some lacing. Th aroma is sweet as the strawberries stand out nicely. The taste is a smooth & fairly uninteresting lager until the strawberry kicks in on the finish. It’s not over the top but it’s a decent and quite drinkable fruit beer. Not too shabby!

Single bottle. Pours a dull gold with some fizzy white head. Smells like a strawberry jam sandwich. Taste is crisp and fruity. Light body with a slightly grainy finish. Not bad, but definitely a novelty beer.

Appearance: great head when poured, white foam and stays in tact, dense head, cloudy yellow golden color, Aroma: fruit, strawberry Taste: strawberry key note is dominant, light body, no bitterness at all Palette: smooth, very nicely carbonated Overall: this is an amazing summer beer, very refreshing and easy to drink, goes great with crawfish! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured a thin head on a clear, hazy golden colored body. The aroma is all strawberry jam. The real stuff without the extra sugar. The taste is a strawberry jam with a bit of lager thrown in. Fairly mild flavor, which in this case is good. The texture is crisp with moderate carbonation. It is what it is... a strawberry beer. And at that it does a good job.

Abita Strawberry Harvest Lager bottle pour Appearance. Clear golden with. 1 finger white head with minimal lacing Aroma mild malty with moderate sweet strawberry hints Taste. Mildly hop front end with little malty middle and a sweet strawberry finish Mouthfeel smooth with moderate to heavy carbonation Overall a nice strawberry Lager that balances well with spicy foods like boiled crawfish. But being from Louisiana I may be a little bias ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

.Golden pour with a slight pinkish hue. Aroma and taste of strawberries and wheat. Taste has a hint of strawberry bubblegum. Interesting for a change of pace from darker or heavier hopped beers. OK.

Bottle @ home picked up at Wilbur’s Fort Collins. Pours just a bit hazy golden appearance with a light cream colored head. Cotton candy, spicy strawberry seedy, bubblegum aroma. Really artificial flavor. Holy fucken shit. This tastes exactly like exactly like Bubble Yum Cotton Candy Bubble Gum. Drinkable if you like liquefied bubble gum. Yum a dum dum.
