COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Ripe, red Louisiana strawberries are harvested at the peak of the season in the early morning chill. The scent of the juicy red Ponchatoula berries fills the air as they’re picked and pressed for Abita Strawberry Harvest Lager. The end result is a light, crisp lager with just a hint of strawberry sweetness.

Bottle at Sunset Grill, fall 2008. Fairly true strawberry nose boasts of more fruit than beer, though it dosent seem candyish or cloying and there does seem to be some malt crispness on the end. Not any flaws that I can detect and a pretty high strength of aroma. Shockingly reserved in fruit sweetness, with seemingly most of the sugars fermented out. You even get some light pale malt graininess and a lager yeast crispness on the finish. No wateriness, medium-light bodied with no alcohol or flaws perceivable. How this brewery is so hit or miss is beyond me.

Flat on if you like beer and strawberry this is it. A perfect summer beer low abv, crisp and refreshing o and strawberry. Pour is much like a witt beer you know hazy and flat yellow with a white head. Aroma is lite and refreshing with enought strawberry to get you going. It taste like it smells crisp, lite and freshing.

Transfer from BA review on 7-17-12- Poured from bottle into pint glass Appearance – The beer pours a lightly hazy mild golden color. Upon pouring there was a three finger white head on the brew that faded over a moderate amount of time to give a nice amount of lacing. Smell – The aroma, as would be expected is mostly of strawberry. The strawberry is mixed with a sugary sweet and wheat aroma. Taste – The taste begins sweet and wheaty. At the front the sweet is more of a sugary sweet with the wheat having a more pronounced role. As the taste advances however the wheaty nature dies out some with grater flavors of a strawberry sweetness coming to the tongue. In the end a somewhat artificial, yet rather pleasant and refreshing strawberry flavor is left on the tongue. Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is thin and the carbonation is on the higher side. Both are very fitting for the flavor and create a rather refreshing feel. Overall- Refreshing, flavorful, and easy drinking. A great summer brew for a nice hot day outside while sitting with friend and chatting.

Pours a light hazy hold with plenty of head, little lacing. Honey, lemon, berries on the nose. Taste’s a bit dull on the palate despite plenty of citrus and bready malts. A decent summer lager, but I wouldn’t buy a six pack of it.

Bottle from Harvest Market Pours a fairly clear medium straw color with a decent sized bubbly white head that slowly dissipates to a cap on top. Aromas of strawberry but a bit on the subtle side. Light spice, lemon, and just a touch of yeasty funk. The flavor follows the aroma quite well. Yeasty wheaty with a hint of lemon and funk with a solid hit of strawberry to add a bit of complexity. Light to medium body with a moderate level of carbonation. Nice fruity light easy drinking summer ale, I quite enjoyed it.

draft, aroma of strawberries, taste of imitation processed strawberries. Light body, thin feel, watery. Clean crisp taste.

Its body has a brilliant deep yellow blond color with just the very slightest chill haze. The pour produces a tall bright white head. It is light, fluffy and fleeting, which means it fades out quickly and makes no lacing. As I poured this beer into the glass it smelled as if I was opening up a box of Special K cereal with strawberries. It has that same dehydrated strawberry character which is backed up by light grain notes. This one is simple, crisp and very refreshing. It is just as the aroma advertised it to be, light dehydrated strawberry with cereal grain. The finish is snappy, crisp and refreshing. Its palate has a light body with balanced carbonation.

12 oz bottle from backlog notes 07. Pours a hazy pale golden color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have pale malts, grainy, strawberry that seems artificial, hay, I guess if it was a hot day and nothing else was around that this would work, but...

Crisp light flavor accented with a tart strawberry flavor. Aroma is a bit odd but still an incredible beer!!
