Commercial Description:
Ripe, red Louisiana strawberries are harvested at the peak of the season in the early morning chill. The scent of the juicy red Ponchatoula berries fills the air as they’re picked and pressed for Abita Strawberry Harvest Lager. The end result is a light, crisp lager with just a hint of strawberry sweetness.

Pours a hazy yellowish color with a short lived smallish white head. Smell is sweet malt and strawberry candy, and a bit strange. Taste is like strawberry cereal and reminds me of the milk at the bottom of the bowl. Medium bodied with normal carbonation. Hint of odd sourness. Not that great.

Pours a pale yellow with a white head. Aroma of strawberries and some malts. Flavor is pretty much just strawberries. Really not as bad as I was expecting and I don’t even really like strawberries.

Bottle. Poured pale with a fizzy white head. Aromas like a strawberry short cake. The flavor found strawberries, wheat, and a light citrus. Medium body and sweet.

12 oz. bottle. Label dates not notched. Regular yellow color under fizzy head, a little bit hazy. Strawberries in smell seems natural, not overdone, with room for beer malt in the nose, too. Well, I think the taste is enjoyable. Strawberries don’t overwhelm. Malt seems to carry more of the sweetness. Just a bit of hop bitterness. Finishes nicely. A simply well-done fruit beer, not an easy thing to find.

Very fresh strawberry aroma. cloudy yellow in color. Clean essence of strawberries on the palate without overpowering or being too sweet. overall it was refreshing and drinkable.

Bright yellow, frothy white head, fresh strawberry aroma. Taste is more nice strawberries laid over a light pale lager body.

Bottle. A pale light golden color pour with a small fizzy white head , lots of carbonation , little to no lacing left. Aroma is kind of like strawberry cheesecake , with some light grain hints . Flavor is pretty strait forward , like a light strawberry wheat beer/lager , some light grain notes , lightly sweet , not cloying or tart , not really any hop presence , a good clean mouthfeel , light body , very sessionable . This was an enjoyable try but nothing I would buy again for myself .

The label boasts a "hint" of strawberry, but the flavor and aroma is pretty obvious. The taste is light and refreshing, but the aroma is that of fake strawberry lip gloss.

12oz from Beer Crazy. Very faint berry scent, pours clean with fair amount of white head. Easy drink with berry finish which lingers beautifully
