COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Abita Turbodog is a dark brown ale brewed with Willamette hops and a combination of British pale, crystal and chocolate malts. This combination gives Turbodog its rich body and color and a sweet chocolate-toffee like flavor.

Pours a very dark black mahogany with a medium sized tan head. Aroma is of caramel. Average creaminess and mouthfeel. Taste is of caramel, toffee, malt and is somewhat sweet. No bitterness with only a hint of hops. Pairs well with chicken gumbo and crackers.

Bottle. Sweet caramel and pale malt aroma with a hint of chocolate. Pours dark brown with a ruby hue. Good light brown head with moderate lacing. Sweet caramel and toffee flavors to start. Finishes smooth with a dry, slightly hoppy finish. Refreshing and quite drink, a nice brown ale.

Appearance was clear ruby brown with diminishing creamy tan 1 finger head, no lacing. Aromas are sweet pale, caramel, chocolate malts upfront with hints of spicy hops. Taste are malt upfront with smooth soft chocolate bitterness then slight pale malts and hints of hops. Palate was creamy smooth CO2 with light- medium body, then average length soft bitter English-style finish. An easy brew to drink.

Bottle. Pours dark brown. Large tan head. Mild aroma of caramel and roast. Taste is of toasty caramel. Nice robust palate. Good mouthfeel. I’ve had this before, but its been awhile. This was better then I remembered.
