COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Abita Turbodog is a dark brown ale brewed with Willamette hops and a combination of British pale, crystal and chocolate malts. This combination gives Turbodog its rich body and color and a sweet chocolate-toffee like flavor.

Very "stoutish" for an ale. In-your-face chocolate flavor pervades this medium hopped beer. Unique and definitely worth a try.

Mmm. Not rich enough to be a top dog in the brown ale arena, but a nice peppery combination of flavors. Kind of like a pale ale/brown ale combo.

Very sweet, almost cloying malt - fruit and chocolate chased with a little bit of astringency. Decent, but far from my favorite brown!

This beer canít decide what it is. Is it a stout? Or an ale? In any case, it tasted to me like it was trying to be a stout. While nicely balanced w/hops, it tasted a bit watery to me. Not a great ale or stout in my opinion.

Brown with fast fading head. Faintly roasted malt nose and taste.Either old or doesnít travel well. Mine was flat

I have had decent ones and some that showed that they donít hold up long in the stores. Bad filtering? Pasteurization? When it is good I enjoy it to a fair degree, otherwise Iím sure you might guess what I think.

Slight toffee, sugary sweet malt flavor, but thin and bland in the finish.

I drank tons of this shit when I was living in New Orleans. I love it. The description sums it up, its a thick, dark, chocolatey beer, and it tastes so so goood!
