A brown ale with a thin moka head. In aroma, nice caramel malt with plums. In mouth, a boring chalky ale with light brunes, rather pedestrian. On tap at VT Brewers Fest, July 17 2010.

Bottle poured a clear dark brown with a lasting tan head. Aromas of carmel, cocoa and brown sugar. Palate was light to medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of cocoa, carmel, lighjt vanilla and a hint of mollasses with a smooth semi-sweet finish. A very drinkable beer!

Brown with a small tan head. Fruity and hoppy aroma that includes some pine and smoke notes. Bitter and a little sour to the taste. A little sweet but almost like a tart, dark chocolate. Creamy on the palate.

Botella. My first Abita brew. Clear deep red-brown colour. Medium beige head. Sweet malty bit grainy aroma. Fair mouthfeel. Sweet toasty malty caramel flavour.

Trade with Fonefan. The color is red mahogany and the head is huge and creamy. The aroma has notes of malt, berries, candy sugar and caramel. The flavour has sweetness and notes of candy sugar, roasted malt, raisin, light citrus, licorice and the finish has a slightly dry bitterness and hints of milk chocolate. It is quite OK, but I think they forgot the turbo in this engine...

Spicy food and turbo dog, what a great combo! Dark brown pur with a cream colored head. I have had this in the bottle and on tap and I like it each and every time. Very smooth and full flavored. Nice beer.

12 ounce bottle from Wine Warehouse in Charlottesville, Va. Pours a reddish black with a large head. Decent retention and lacing. Aroma is light roast, caramel and nutty notes, as well as some faint dark fruits. Taste is grassy hops, dark fruits, roasted malts, nuts, sunflower, caramel. Medium bodied. Pleasant brew.
