Very impressive, soft chocolatey brown ale. This beer is a classic in my opinion. The nose is nice and malty, with big sweet malt and chocolate malt aromas. The palate is soft with more chocolate malt flavor, and a touch of coffee. Turbo Dog finishes with more chocolate malt goodness. This is a very malt accented beer. Goes great with desert.

No complaints hear except for when I hand this out in a cup to my friends when they are expecting coca cola. The beer is that dark. Taste is great. Another well-made Abita beer.

One of my all time favorite beers. It is dark and heavy, with a great aroma and taste. Has a hint of chocolate or coffee in the flavor.

I am biased, I grew up on this stuff being from Louisiana. We used to get kegs of Abitas beers for parties. I love it. Most of my friends love it. My wife doesn’t. I would recommend this beer to people.

This beer definitaley has to be on my top 5 beer’s list of all times. Picture a a light black butte porter (which is also a top 5) . Exquisite caramel and chocolate and smoothe smokey toasted roastedness. A must try for anyone who appreciates dark beers.

Wonderful flavor of sweet coffee, great smell of caramel and roasted nuts, works great as a dessert. The crown prince of Abita beers.

An old favorite from the Abita Brewing Co on the North Shore. It hurts a little, but in a good way. Don’t overdo it.

Unbelievably suprised. Very good beer. A must for all to try. Wonderful pour with a thick brown head. AS little smell of burnt caramel but fantastic taste. Smooth not sweet. Perfect with a nice porterhouse steak with a side of crab meat.
