(50 cl bottle from Swedish Systembolaget) Weak malty, some old scent. Clear brown color, small tan head. Grainy smell. Sour malty taste, a bit buttery. Thin mouthfeel, high co2. Metallic. Boring and pointless. Shame on you Åbro!

TEJA (784) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - DEC 27, 2010
Bottle at Ulla Winblad, Djurgården. My company always have a christmas dinner. The places they choose have good food but they don’t have the best in beer. The Åbro christmas lager has a dark brown-red color with a fine lasting beige foam and is perfectly clear (as could be expected by a pastorized and sterile filtered beer. The aroma have a brown malted aroma. The tqaste is light malty with some sweetness. Litle bitterness and no hop taste. Easy to drink but not much taste. For the Swedish christmas table the beer could have much more taste to complement all the different dishes.

UPDATED: FEB 8, 2010 Big brown-beige coarseish head. Barely translucent deep dark red body with carbonation. Fruity roasty malt aroma with peppery hop notes. Dry-sweetish roasty malty spicy taste with lovely peppery floral hop notes. Light-bodied, smooth. Dry, faintly artificial, roasty peppery aftertaste with papery citric notes. Very nice, and love the hop aroma, but a bit low on taste. (0.5l can, Systembolaget, Charlottenberg. Rated twice.)

500 ml botle. A dense one-finger beige head upon a brilliant dark brown colored body. Caramel, lightly roasted bready malts and some earthy hops in the aroma. Medium sweet, quite crisp malt flavor. A light roastiness, mild bittering hops and chocolate notes. Light to medium, well carboneted body. Short dryish malty finish.

Botella. Clear dark brown colour, medium off-white head. Sweet caramel and roasty malty bit smoky aroma. Good mouthfeel. The flavour has roasty malt and caramel with some smoke, alittle dark fruit and a pleasant mild bitterness. Nice.
