(Bottle). Sour malt aroma, a little grainy and grassy. Sour malt taste with a bitter flavor and a clear alcohol aroma. Really gruesome beer!

330ml labelled Åbro Extra Stark 7.3 in a brown bottle, poured into a lager glass. Pours clear golden with a medium sized frothy off-white head that reduced quickly, leaving some lacing on the glass. Aroma of canned corn and wheat bread. Flavours of corn, wheat bread, alcohol and a hint of caramel. Taste is light-medium sweet and light bitter. Palate is light bodied, thin texture and average carbonation. Overall a plain tasting macro-brewed Strong Pale Lager, but comparatively low priced and well brewed for what it is. The alcohol is less notable than in most lagers that are over 7% ABV.

Bottle from Systembolaget. Mild smell with an artifical malty aroma. Mild taste with the same artificial malty aroma. This one isn’t as horrible as many similar beers, mostly because it isn’t overly sweet and that it is mild enough so that most of the horrible flavours are hidden. Rough mouthfeel. Actually has a noticeable bitterness as well which is different compared to similar beers. Still not drinkable though.

Strong yet sweet aroma, a little bread aroma. The taste is of thin bread and water. I am not aware of so much alcohol which is good. Thin aftertaste. But this beer was not good at all. Follow me @ Kung av öl @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings.

Can 0,50L. Clear golden colour with lively carbonation and big, white head that sits a bit, but stays until the end. Aroma of roasted malts, cookies, corn and some citrusy hops. Alcohol is well exposed. Taste is sweet, aftertaste is moderate bitter. It’ has oily, almost syrupy structure.
