Looks like an OK ale - almost brown, and with a small moldy head. Sweet peachy aroma, bock-like malts too. Pleasant carbonation, creamy feel to the palate. Taste is quite amazing, not necessarily in an entirely good way. It’s three-pronged. At first there’s a double-whammy of some punchy prickly alcohol bitterness combined with an absurdly sweet zingy fruity children’s chewy sweet with fake fruit flavours. Together it’s a bit like a weak lemon vodka. Once you’ve got over that, there’s a more sensible sticky malty taste and some slightly harsh hoppy bitterness, and also something that’s a bit like mold. Maybe they had a lemon merangue pie that went a bit furry, and they just threw it in the vat hoping as that was closer than the bin. Finish is slightly acrid hops. Hard to call this one, as I’ve never had anything like it. I expect my rating to waver by a few tenths as I go down the glass...

(Can 50 cl) Clear, deep golden with a white head, leaving some lacework. Aroma of malt and alcohol. Solid body with a sweetish malt base and a somewhat raw and bitter hopping in the finish that also contains quite some alcohol. Classical European Strong. 251007

UPDATED: JAN 25, 2008 Bottle 0.5 l. Hmm.. am I drinking the same beer the others are? 1.84 average is a bit of an understatement I would say. I had this in my fridge for months as I wasn’t very encouraged to open it considering the reviews. Now that I’m having it, it’s got nice full foamy mouthfeel, malts, very crisp hoppiness!, fresh and hides the alcohol very well. Not too sweet by any means. Urquell style hoppiness with bitter aftertaste. Anyhow, too strong alcohol % for a pils like this, altho it’s surprisingly fresh considering.

50cl can. rich gold color with big, foamy head. very sweet malty aroma. Alcoholic and sweet taste, but somewhat of a balance of hop in there, just enough to make this the most balanced and drinkable of the 7%+ swedish lager types that ive had from the system so far.

Warm golden with an Ok head. The aroma has notes of malt and alcohol. The flavour has notes of malt, flower, light bitterness and a bit of alcohol. It’s really boring, but drinkable. 1887

Big white coarse head shrinks quickly, leaving no lace. Deep yellow body with light carbonation. Sweetish aroma of very ripe fruit and grain, with bready notes. Deep sweetish straw and apple taste with more fruity notes. Has a dry edge throughout. Traces of alcohol and some alcohol heat. Dry, grassy sweetish fruity malty aftertaste. Surprisingly nice and flavourful. (0.5l bottle from Alko. Rated at room temperature.)

Bottled. Honeyish golden colour, huge white head. Corn, soap, metal and some malts and alcohol in aroma. Flavour is soap, corn, some malts and alcohol. Lots of metal. Very horrible beer. Not recommended to anyone. First I thought my glass was soapy or something, but a direct sniff and taste from bottle had the same problems. The appearance was the only thing that could be considered positive.

Bottled (BB 11/2007)
Clear honey golden color, decent white head. Sweetcorn aroma with hints of metal and malt. Sweet corn malty flavor too, acidic with grainy aftertaste. Alcohol is subdued in the start, but comes up in the aftertaste leaving dry mouthfeel. Raw, sweetish and unbalanced malt liquer.

(Bottled) Clear golden color with a small, fading head. Mild aroma of slightly sweet and acidic, corny malt, metal, and surprisingly well hidden alcohol. Corny-grainy-malty, mildly grassy-hoppy flavor with an acidic finish and some alcohol burn. Almost medium-bodied palate with slightly fizzy carbonation. As it warms up, the alcohol becomes more pronounced. Yes, this is crap - yet somehow it manages to hide the alcohol quite well, without being too sweet.

(50 cl can from Systembolaget) Clear golden color, medium size white head. Scent is milk, malt and alcohol. Taste is mostly sweet alcohol, some alcohol bitterness in the finish. Sickening mouthfeel, low hops bitterness. No thanks.
