UPDATED: MAY 3, 2013 Medium offwhite head. Slightly hazy deep yellow body with light carbonation. Strawy dusty fruity aroma with grainy herbal earthy notes. Dry-sweet earthy dusty herbal taste with spicy resiny notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dryish minty strawy herbal aftertaste with grassy oily fruity notes. Lovely and incredibly vivid. Intensely drinkable. Fairly bitter finish. (0.5l PET bottle, from tap at Alus Stacija, Riga. Sold as "Brengulu Gaisais." Rated again draft at Gauja under the name "Abula Gaišais" with markedly lower scores. Seemed like a different beer, even.)

Tap at S. Brevinga, Riga. Golden/organge slightly hazy body, with some lacing and tiny head that reduces to a filmy layer. Sweet. Honey aroma, with hints of citrus and caramel. Also tastes honey, caramel, syrup and brown sugar. Too much honey in both aroma and flavour. (21.Dec.2012)

Tap. Pale yellow color. Small off-white head. Sweet, grainy aroma. Sweet, malty, moldy hay, yeasty flavor. Somewhat bitter side taste. Tobacco? That bitter side taste turns quite unpleasant at the end.

On keg at S.Brevinga Alus, Riga. Small white head. Slightly hazy golden a,mber pour. Sweet taste with a nice honey aftertaste

Unclear medium orange yellow colour with a average, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toffee, butter, light caramel. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet with a long duration, sugary, sharp bitter and acidic very shortly. Body is medium, texture is creamy, carbonation is soft. IMO. Not bad just to buttery and sweet for me, but others like it very much ! [20120729]

Draught at Alaus Stacija, Riga. Hazy golden, rich creamy head. Sweet with mild spicy hops. Medium bodied with soft mouthfeel. Sugar and spicy hops, mild butterscotch. Long bitter finish. Pleasant, albeit very sweet.

On keg at S.Brevinga Alus, Riga. A slightly hazy, golden honey beer with a fair white head. Quite sweet with aromas of honey, alcohol, caramel and biscuity malt. Honey flavour also with some caramel and biscuity malt character. A little dry finish with a long sweet honey linger. Mild carbonation and CO2 prickle. Mild bitterness is balanced well with the honey sweetness and a nice malty backbone. More complex that most honey beers I’ve tried.

Draught from brewery in Brenguli near Valmiera. Lot of people were there and bought beer. Golden color, little bit hazy. Head was small and disappeared so fast. Sweet fruity aroma. Taste is malty and fruity, little bit like honey. Finish is dry and I feel hops too. Good impressions.
