4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle in Vail with my dad. Pour is viscous black with a creamy brown head and great lacing. Huge coconut, brown sugar, toffee, whisky, somewhat oaky, dark chocolate, light coffee, a touch earthy, and caramelly aroma. Taste is rich dark chocolate, espresso, raisins, figs, caramel, bourbon, light vanilla, coconut, woody, and anise with a lightly roasty bitter finish. Thick oily mouthfeel with soft carbonation. Very rich, velvety, and decadent stout - super smooth for such a high ABV. Nice stuff!

Bottle thanks to the Dood! Labeled as Ctyat. Pours engine oil black with a dark brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has notes of bitter chocolate with a good amount of must and some boozy whiskey. Flavor has more sweetness from dark grains and chocolate with a musty whiskey note towards the finish. A bit muddled.

2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
750 ml bottle, batch 1 bottle 1132/1344. Pours dark brown black with a small brown head that quickly goes to a thin collar that leaves a little lacing.
The aroma is rich bakers chocolate, grains, vanilla and some bourbon. More alcohol comes out as it warms.
The flavor is sweet rich chocolate and vanilla with a lot of pretty harsh bitter alcohol. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with low carbonation.
Overall, good and flavorful especially for Coors but too sweet and alcoholic.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Deep, black pour with a mocha head. Definitely some whiskey/barrel character. Very roasty, lots of coffee, some char, dark chocolate, and a bit of sweet molasses and vanilla. The flavor is a bit more balanced and not as over the top roasty. Big wood character, vanilla, coffee, and dark chocolate. Some molasses and toffee sweetness, a bit of alcohol, whiskey, and a mild bitterness.
