COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Colorado Native is a hand crafted lager made with all Colorado ingredients that celebrates the joys of life in Colorado.

Hold up a pint of Colorado Native and drink in its amber lager color, brought to life with pale and caramel malts from our famous Moravian 2-row barley. We painstakingly balanced its malt character against select Chinook, Centennial and Cascade hops to create a perfectly balanced, full-flavored beer. A lager yeast fermentation gives Colorado Native a slight fruitiness, complementing a citrus aroma note from a late kettle hop addition. Everything then comes together to deliver a clean taste and dry finish that is very drinkable by itself, or paired with your favorite foods.

Light spruce hops smell in a nicely dark lager. Good head and carbonation with a thick consistency and some nice spice. Aftertaste has a slight stale hops flavor to it, covered by citrus / spruce flavor. Nice ABV. :)

UPDATED: JUN 8, 2013 Bottle at Ungstrup’s. Pours slightly hazy orange amver with small off-white head. Clear aroma of citrus and hops with a subtle note of honey. Bitter, hoppy onset, giving way to sweet notes of malt and honey, ending dry. OK but is it a Premium Lager? It tastes more like a mixture of SHV and APA.

Bottled. An unclear amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of caramel and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and straw, leading to a bitter finish. Thanks pinball for sharing.

If I knew it was brewed by Coors, I wouldn’t have bought the bottle. Kudos to brewing with all locally sourced ingredients, but this beer completely fails in quality and execution. Pours a light russet color with a lumpy head. Huge cornflake and sulphury/earthy aroma. Crisp, super grainy flavor, enhanced by a rough bitterness that tastes more like dirt than hops. Woody, grassy, portapotty, sugar and charcoal aftertaste. Gassy palate. Disgusting all around. Drain pour.

12 ounce bottle. Pours a amber color with a half inch, light tan head. Taste is of malt, caramel, hops, citrus, pine and grass. Similar aroma. The body is decent and wet. The finish is a bit bitter and a touch dry. A pretty nice beer. Didn’t realize it was from Coors until I rated it.

This smelled quite nice. A hop-based lager, the flavor itself is a bit strange but pretty nice.
