COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Ale aged in oak wine barrels with blackberries added.

Late in the summer of 2012, we received a phone call from a farmer on the Western Slope. She informed us that she had a field full of delicious blackberries that were ready for harvest, but no one to sell them to. We had a batch our dark sour that tasted delightful and was ready for fruit, so we were happy to buy them.

We let those fresh, whole Colorado blackberries age in our dark sour for over two months. The resulting flavors were a mix of dark fruit notes that accentuate the rich caramel malt and vanilla notes in the dark sour. We canít wait for that farmerís next phone call.

A great sour from AC Golden. Batch 1. Blackberry, vanilla, sour smell. Taste is a perfect sour pucker with the blackberry flavor really at the front. Very light and tart, dry. A great combination of tart, sour, crisp, light...just a wonderfully done beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a deep red with a small head.

The aroma is tart fruit... specifically berries and some barnyard funkiness.

The flavor is very sour with lots of berry. Itís tart, dry... a little oaky and all around pretty cool.

Certainly something I had wanted to try but never thought Iíd get the chance, thanks Pete!

Bottle @ Presidential Suite. Thanks, Pussy Pete. Reddish brown color with a small, short lived off-white head. Quite sour on the nose. Lots of raspberry and sort of a truth candy character. Mild caramel, lots of green apple, and lemon juice. Flavor has a strong lemon juice sourness. Some hints of vinegar and plenty of berry. Despite some raspberry and caramel sweetness, this is real fucking sour.

I somehow tasted this w/o figuring out it was made by MillerCoors. I am dumb but perhaps that gave me a clearer bead on the quality of this beer than I would have had otherwise. It is brown red w/ a small head. It is floral w/ a slightly cherry nose. I found it to be slightly sour and also a little sweet which is a combo I have never been able to get behind. It is highly carbonated and frankly just hard to drink. Really it is just the sweet/tart combo that gets me on this. A lot of people like that stuff and if you are one of them, rejoice in the fact that MillerCoors now considers you a person to be marketed to.

Bottle shared in the Petey Hale Rake Dungeon. Pours a deeper ruby copper hazy hue, a bit darker middle with frothy offwhite head atop. Crimson darker glow in the body. Aromas are touches of raspberry, a bit seedy with gentle darkness, some gentle carmelized and bready malts. Touches of oak, faint vanillia and lactic jabs. Initial is a bit potent lactic acidity, really nice seedy raspberry, potent sour lactic elements with a bit of acidity, gentle darkness, touches of juice. Middle is tart, lactic, a bit yogurt, metallic. Firmer sourness prevails and really runs the gambit. Big and sour, touches of seedy raspberry but well fermented with a lighter body. Potent sourness, lovely flavors. Nice stuff.

Bottle - Cherries and rich oak. Cloudy brown with a decent white head. Acidic and tart off the bat, with berries and very slight oak. To acidic to enjoy the flavors.

Bottle shared by Aaron, thanks! Pours a hazy deep ruby red with a reddish tan head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has rich raspberry with some light funk and a touch of dark grain. Flavor has acidic raspberry that mellows into a tartness with light funk backing.
