3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tap @ Rackhouse Pub during AC Golden Tap Takeover. Poured into a mini-snifter, a hazy, grapefruit-color with no head. Aroma is apricot, brett funk, barnyard, sweat, and green grapes. Taste is very sour from start to finish, with hints of apricot and muscat. Each sip leaves my mouth feeling tingly. Mouthfeel is medium and carbonation is high. Overall, mouth-puckering, yet refreshing; a very sour beer. Delicious.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap at Rackhouse. Hazy light straw with no head, with a pungent aroma of sharp acidity and sweet apricot, and a tinge of sour oak. Taste is pretty sour, but also has complexity and nuance. Tart apricot and some sour/wild yeasty oak tones fill the palate, and a little vinegar. Bracing and wild, but also sweet and delicious.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Sampled at FOBAB 2011. A big surprise here. Definitely funky, but its not your usual funk, as this is a bit hard to describe. Hazy tangerine in color, and a starchy white layer of head on the pour. Along with the funk, there’s some very lactic sugars and hazy cream. Also, some muddled fruits, dried apricot, as well as sweet apricots. As far as solid notes go, apricot is really all i can come up with. I really do enjoy the tangy fruitness and sweet/sour displayed here. Simple notes, but bold. I’m a fan.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
FOBAB 2011. Pours a cloudy, yellow-gold colored body with a finger-width, frothy, white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing. Aroma is very funky and oaky with a light tartness. Some apricot fruitiness with a touch of sweetness and a base pale maltiness. Flavor is similar. Lots of fruity tartness and pretty funky up front. Apricot really comes out in the middle before the oak dries this very cleanly with a nice sourness. Medium length aftertaste following a medium-light body and moderately lively carbonation. Overall, a solid beer. Funky and tart with a nice, clean apricot fruitiness and dry oak. Straightforward, but enjoyable.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Sampled from the tap at 2011 FOBAB. Poured a hazy gold with a white head that dissipated to the edges. Aroma had a good amount of funk with a nice apricot tart note with a hint of citrus. Flavor was well balanced with some acid, sour apricot and a nice amount of funkiness. Surprisingly nice.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Ac golden apricot served on tap at FOBAB... Hazy cidery lemony brown hue with a soapy white head... Aroma of tart sourness with peach and apricot. Enjoyable nose with more fruit than funk... Sour tart and fruity without much acidity. Apricot subdued with a nice lactic sourness. Smooth light body but quite sour. Color me impressed by this MillerCoors offering. The Kriek wasn’t half bad either.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Sampled on tap at FoBAB 2011 (Chicago, IL). Pours a murky dulled golden hue, touch of loose bubbled head. Aromas are sticky sweet apricot, not sour, with touches of sweetness. Initial is lighter bodied offering a decent sourness up front. Lactic and sour apricots, envelopes the palate. Sour with good lingering sourness, lemopns, yogurt, bread, and more sour apricot keep it coming. Finish is sour and fruity, with lingering apricot, lemons, lactic acid. Simpler but tasty, giving reminders of Cascade Apricot in some good flashes.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
draft... really confused about having a macro lambic that was damn good... dark peach colored beer, nice off white head... the aroma is nice, tart, oak, and apricots, indistinguishable from a Belgian lambic... the taste is really nice as well, a sour bite, tons of apricots, a bit too sweet but honestly for a low price that I assume I’d probably take this over a fou foune that would cost 4-5 times to procure
