Bottle - Pours hazy pink with no head. Nose is cherry, sulphur, and a little tartness. Taste is real pungent cherry, SweetTarts, vinegar tartness, and a little lemon. Thinnish and well-carbonated. Yummy.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
750 ml bottle poured a clear ruby red with a lingering ring of off white foam. Aromas of straw, cherry, light citrus and light barnyard funk. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry tart finish. Flavors of bread, cherries, spice and light straw with a crisp dry tart lingering cherry finish.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Shared by forgetfu. Thanks Bill.
The beer is mildly hazy and appears a brown color with crimson highlights. The aroma brings oak, tart cherries, light sweetness. Hints of vanilla in the flavor. Cherries are present throughout with a subtle balsamic or possibly red wine note. Interesting. A balance of sweet and tart with a bit of an acetic vinegar burn in the finish. A tasty beer, though not in the same conversation as the premier examples of the style. Surprising, coming from a macro brewing company.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pour out of a 750. Appearance is bright magenta with a small head that quickly dissipated. Aroma is tannin, wood, cherry pit, light funk, and lacto. Taste is very sour, cherry, tannin, oak, and brett with a mouth-puckering sour finish. Very light body and low carbonation. Pretty nice lambic interpretation.

750mL 2011 batch thanks to forgetfu. Pours a full haze mahogany. Thin layer of foam. Nose is detergent, small cherry pie, spices, small metals. Taste is soapy, sharp, some powder. Palate is tart and a bit butyric acid heat. Ok. Not too aggressive. No heavy off flavors.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle courtesy of forgetfu. Pours a red-caramel color with a short off-white head. Nose has cherries and a bit of earth. Mild bread. A bit similar to a Flanders base in terms of the malt. Light sourness through the finish. Flavor has a good cherry skin flavor. Surprisingly fairly good. Body is medium. Average carbonation.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Sampled from the tap at 2011 FOBAB. Poured a hazy pinkish red with a white head that dissipated to the edges. Aroma had a lot of funk on it with barnyard and then backing sour cherry notes. Flavor lost some complexity as it was mainly sour cherries, with the funk barely coming out at all.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
A pinkish grapefruit juice like kriek with a thin off white head. In aroma, a nice smooth epsom salt with nice cherries, brime, very nice. In mouth, a smooth lightly spiced tart cherry, with light talcum notes, very nice and drinkable. On tap at FoBAB 2011.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Ac golden kriek once again had on tap at FOBAB 2011... Pours a framboise and kriek like in appearance and topped with a thin soapy white head, quickly dissipating... More framboise like than kriek with a peppery seediness. Nice and welcoming... More cherry with a socky funk feel to it. Easy going with a light profile flavor is nicely developed. Lighter bodied but generally quite nice. Like this a touch more than the apricot which, too, was enjoyable.
