Nice to see an American cidery try to get away from the over the top tartness and sweetness that they are all mostly guilty of and try to make a decent cider in the dry vein.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Tasted 8/9/10. 22oz bomber. Very, very pale straw golden hue. Trace ring of read. Champaign style nose with tart green apple candy note. Bubble gum and sugary sweet. Medium bodied with a bitter tart body and the effervescence of a sparkling wine. Mild finish and a slightly lingering mix of 7Up sticky citrus and Green Apple candy. Decent stuff.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Had this on tap. Not much to say except standard macro cider taste with more of an alcohol bite. This should be banned as its potential date rape beverage. Overall pass.....

1.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20
Pale, white tint. No head, and thus high maintenance. Revreshingly sweet aroma, but that is uually the case with deception. Papery, fried flour, pale, sugary taste. Fritzy, not frizzy, mouthfeel and you know that’s bad. Reproachful aftertaste, as is the case with MOST white wines.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: MAY 2, 2015 Bottle... Pours nearly clear with effervescence, but no head. The aroma is of dried, fallen apples. Light-bodied with a thin mouthfeel and prickly carbonation. The flavor is far more tart and refreshing than I anticipated. Sweetness is low. Alcohol is unapparent. Finishes tangy and dry. Bottle states 6% ABV; not 8% ABV. Enjoyable.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Enjoyed on tap in a pub glass. The beer pours a Champagne-colored light yellow hue, with essentially no head. The nose carries the slight scent of artificial backsweetening, but also pleasant hints of tart apples. The palate lacks the bracing acidity and tartness of some better European examples of the style, but still manages to show a subtle note of tartness, especially in the mid- and late palate. Artificial sweetness is also present in the flavor profile, but is subtle enough to avoid being a real detractor. Perhaps the cider’s highlight is its deft concealment of alcohol. At 8%abv, this is about as drinkable as lemonade...dangerous in its deception. Overall, a little too much of an effort to appeal to the narrow American palate, but style a decent effort.
