2.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
22 ounce bottle purchased at The Davis Food Co-Op. The aroma is super sweet, and lightly cloying. Some pear hints are present, but they seem awfully fake. Light underlying apple, too. This is really not that pleasant to smell. Transparent straw-golden body with a quickly dissipating white head. This starts with a little bit of an apple cider flavor. Restrained sweetness present, which is surprising. Not too dry or tart in the middle. Kinda bland. Perhaps mild pear flavors are detected late. Meh.

Not overly sweet for a perry, great quaffing cider perfect on a hot day. Dry crisp finish-one of the best pear ciders I’ve had.

bottle. Pale straw with minimal head. Sweet with considerable pear flavor. Perhaps a little too sweet for my taste.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Ace Pear Cider has a light color and fruity aroma, taste is somewhat sweet very similar to an green apple jolly rancher. Not much pear flavor. Overall pretty good for a hard cider (which I'm not a big fan of).

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle to half-pint glass (shared with the Mrs.). Looks solid; a transparent gold with thin white lacing and tiny CO2 bubbles with soft carbonation. Smells and tastes of pears and apples with an average mouthfeel. A solid perry.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
The aroma combines a strong pear scent with a very small hint of yeast and apples, and the appearance of this cider is a clear light yellow with no head. The taste is quite sweet and slightly sour, and the palate combines a sweet yet astringent finish, a light body, a thin and slick texture, and an average carbonation, resulting in a very crisp and tart beverage that is quite enjoyable.

0.7 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 1/20
UPDATED: JUN 5, 2013 I had to Re rate this cider. I don?t think I made it clear in my first review that consumption of any of this foul error requires clothespins for the nose and plenty of others mixers with strong flavors to cover up the artificial pear taste. The sparkling wine cooler of the cider family. There is actually no pear ingredient, just "natural flavors". Taste is really strange, juice/syrup/malic acid combo.
