3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Clear, finely bubbled gold with a few soapy bubbles for a head.
Strangely, my first scent is cucumber....then pear and apple.
Taste is sweet apple/pear.
Bright, sharp, sweet.
Tasty, crisp and refreshing.

5oz taster on tap during Cincinnati Beer Fest 2013. Totally clear, more pale golden color. Pretty much no head. Light to medium body. More crisp, lighter carbonation. Lightly sticky in the finish. Nice, kind of creamy pear aroma. Good tart taste. Light spice. An enjoyable, macro-perry

This is my favorite cider. Always has been. Most i find too sweet, Ace pear is just the right sweet taste.

2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20
12oz bottle into New Belgium globe. pours flat, no headnose reminds me of jolly rancher candies. I think I can smell the sugar. Taste is initially tart and then sweet, then finishes dry. this is like a wine. Has a somewhat refreshing character, but there’s something in there that hits me in the chest like a burn. not alcohol burn, but like a chemical burn. maybe its a sulfite or something. it is really making this a bad experience. I think white wine drinkers may like this, but I prefer malt based beverages.

2.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
22 ounce bottle purchased at The Davis Food Co-Op. The aroma is super sweet, and lightly cloying. Some pear hints are present, but they seem awfully fake. Light underlying apple, too. This is really not that pleasant to smell. Transparent straw-golden body with a quickly dissipating white head. This starts with a little bit of an apple cider flavor. Restrained sweetness present, which is surprising. Not too dry or tart in the middle. Kinda bland. Perhaps mild pear flavors are detected late. Meh.
