Golden with a light haze and a nice light white head. Wonderful malt aroma. Smells a bit like a haystack. Smooth and light mouthfeel. Light and drinkable with a subtle earth hop finish and light citrus tones. Notes: At Achel Monestary

Pours a hazy dull orange color with a cream colored cap. The smell is rich malt, fruit, yeast, mild spicing. The taste is yeast, rich malt, fruit, some spiciness. Carbonation is a tick above average with medium body.

On draught at the Achel Cafe. Light blond, straw coloured, refreshing taste. A touch plain though. The aroma is of straw and ’farmyard’. Nothing to write home about, but its perfectly drinkable

A very nice well balanced blonde beer. Has a bit of the citrus with mild grapefruit flavored hop bitter and a floral and herbal sweetness. Mouthfeel is very interesting. Has a nice smooth finish with tingly carbonation and a sugary feel. Very tasteful and refreshing beer.

Clear golden colour, white head. Malty aroma, light sweet, light citrus, light herbal. Malty sweet flavour, some bitter hop notes. Bit thin, -not surprisingly- especially when compared to the 8 Blond. Fruity finish.
Not too special, but quite OK, especially when keeping in mind it was designed for passing tourists on bikes, who still have to be able to peddle on after drinking.

Countbeer (4028) - Best of E-Town mit ein Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - MAY 21, 2012
Draught: Medium vaster white head, disappears slow and leaves a frotty/sticky island full lacing on top of a hazy yellow, with orange tints, colored beer. Smell hops, citrus, lemon, wheat, grains, malts and herbs. Taste is a nice bitter mix of  hops, citrus, fruit, hint of yeast, malts, light dry, herbs, light hint of sweets and a grainy touch. Nice bitter hop and light fruity aftertaste. Low to medium carbo, soft tingly mouthfeel, medium body and a light watery light creamy texture.

Erfrischend hefig-herber Antrunk, nicht ganz vollmundig. Wenig hopfig, herber werdend, dabei sind die belgischen Kräuternoten eher gering. Herb-bitterer, leicht zitrusartiger Abgang. 10/9/10/8//9

In abbazia. Una delle migliori belgian blond mai bevute. Per me vale quasi la Westvleteren Blond. Molto sottovalutata.
