Bottle. Pours golden with a big white head. Nice saison-like nose, with notes of spices, banana and seeds from some kind of berries. The taste has a lot of similarities with the nose, but is a bit more toned down. Well balanced. Likeable blond.

It does not happen often in my book that a blond beer outdoes the dark beer by the same brewer.

Comprada als 5titius. Rossa molt ben elaborada i equilibrada. Final llarg i lleugerament dolç. Excelent.

330ml bottle. Pours a slightly cloudy pale straw, big white head. Fruity, yeasty, slightly phenolic nose, malt, hops, citrus fruits, lemon peel, the faintest of smoke, hay, a bunch of fruity esters. Off-dry, medium bodied, quite lively carbonation, medium bitterness. Fruity taste, quite yeasty, lemon peel, citrus fruits, hops, earth, vaguely phenolic, fruity esters (bubblegum), and there’s a vague hint of sourness/funk in the finish. Drinkable, enjoyable, but still the least interesting of the trappists IMO. (2011-02-10)

11.2 oz. bottle, pours hazy golden with a big white head. Aroma is quite complex, with pear, green apple, yeast, bubblegum, light licorice and candied sugar. Amazingly complex flavour yeast, pear, green apple, bubblegum and candied sugar - palate is quite carbonated with a lingering yeasty and sugary apple finish. Most wonderful.

Quite a smoth tasting beer with some lager type flavours coming through, might need another tasting some time
