330ml bottle. Lots of carbonation leads to a rich thick white foam cloud. Orange to bronze colour that looks inviting. Some banana, pear and apple aromas. One sip fills the mouth with a rich creamy mouthfeel and flavours that hit all parts of the mouth. Long smooth finish.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 neuromatt (610) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 21, 2010
33 cL bottle at Chancey Smith’s in London, Ontario, served in a branded Trappist glass. Enjoyed with Ram and Adam on their visit. Pours clear golden with a tall, frothy white head. The head has great retention and leaves a moderate amount of loose lace. The nose has aromas of grass, pale malt, honey, yeast, flowers, banana and some spice. The flavour is moderately sweet throughout, but well balanced with grassy herbal hops. The finish is long and malty. On the palate, it is medium-full in body with a smooth, creamy texture and soft carbonation. Overall, this was a delightful pale Trappist ale. It is rich and smooth, with a nice substance. The aroma and flavour were both very complex and harmonious. I enjoyed this one more than the Bruin version. 2010-10-21
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 berlinoise2go (342) - NORWAY - OCT 3, 2010
Bottle (33cl) from Vinmonopolet (Storo), Oslo. Gusher producing a huge white head, firm foam that gives a chunky lacing. Hazy orange colour with some yeast sediments. Fruity, yeasty aroma with citrus, banana, peach. Good balance between acidity and sweetness. Filling yet refreshing mouthfeel, lively carbonation. Pleasantly dry bitterness in the finish.
3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 spkevin (280) - Doetinchem, NETHERLANDS - OCT 1, 2010
UPDATED: OCT 21, 2010 Bottle. Beautiful hazy golden pour with a nice white head. Sour, geuze like, aroma with some yeast notes and green apples. Taste starts light tart but leads to a nice finish. Some honey, yeast and fruits. Smooth drinking beer. This bottle was past it’s shelf life, so maybe that explains the sour notes. If so, I would like to try a fresh bottle. Still enjoyed this one. Very nice blonde! (2 october 2010). Update: Fresh bottle. No sour notes in the aroma. Yeast, fruits, spices and honey. No sour notes in the taste. Honey and nice Belgian Blond notes. Great, hoppy finish. The shelf life did explained the sour notes. Enjoyed both bottles. Great brew.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 TheHulk (479) - Lethbridge, Alberta, CANADA - SEP 30, 2010
Light, clear nose, very clear looking, nice head. Nice malt flavour, gets very foamy at the end, brings out the yeast flavour. This one is quite nice, very drinkable, it leaves your mouth clean.

What a great looking ber. Clear, dark yellow. Great head. Fantastic. Nose is a little euro strong lagerish...disappointingly alcoholic with not much else. In the mouth it is clean, with bubblegum, pear and alcohol. Decent, but I mean leffe is just as good. Certainly not in the upper echelon of trappists but ok for what it is.
