Bottle. I was really disappointed by this one. Normally I love the trappist ales, but I found this one not very interesting. Pours a clear golden colour with an average sized head that leaves quickly. This could be due to the state of the glass where I got served in, this was dirty and wet. Spicey, herbal aroma with hints of citrus and grass. Flavour has again the spices with some bread tones. Really Belgianny, nothing extraordinary going on in my opinion.

33 cl Bottle dated 18/3/11 poured into 12 oz tulip. Nice honey gold color. Two finger rocky white head. Taste is more grassy notes with a sweetness on the finish. A decent beer but not the best trappist blonde.

Pours a clear gold with a lively white head. Smells of leaves, barnyard, hay. Taste is mildly sweet, hint of bitter - faint hint of honey, bit of fruity esters.

One of the Trappist beers. Nice aroma with something sweet in the distance. Good staying foam. Good aftertaste.

Ruikt niet erg bijzonder, beetje fruitig met wat hop. Kleur is goud, licht wazig/troebel. Drinkt prettig fris weg met hinten van citrus met meer dan gemiddeld koolzuur, niet overheersend. bottle pours a slightly cloudy pale gold with giant frothy fizzy white head. Aroma of sweet spices, some clove but not dominating, some light fruity tones, passion fruit, apricot, banana, pear, raisin, soft bubblegum. Flavor of dough, soft fruit tones, a slightly grainy quality, and tons of clove on the finish, wouldn’t have guessed it from the aroma. Medium bodied, pretty soft palate. Overall very nice, although a little overbearing on the finish.

330ml bottle. Cloudy golden colour with huge frothy stable white head. Fruity aroma, green apple, rhubarb; spices, cardamon, pepper. Acerbic taste, slightly sweet fruit, red/yellow apple, later some biting yeast, baked apple again, dry and poignant finish. Varied taste, but only second league Trappist.

Ahhhh! Un gioiellino prodotta nel monastero ad Achel, satellite del monastero di Westmalle! Beh, che dire; birra molto aromatica olfattivamente, corpo snello dai sapori complessi. Tra i tanti si notano quelli fruttati e zuccherini di pesca, pere e banane. Una nota di miele. nel finale è bilanciata da una buona luppolatura. Come al solito, uno solo aggettivo descrivono le trappiste, otttima (con tre "t")

Cloudy golden colour. Fruity hoppy aroma. Fruity, spicy taste. Very nice beer.
