4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 goldfish19 (50) - Long Island, New York, USA - DEC 7, 2009
~ 33cl bottle purchased from Bierkraft in Brooklyn, NY. The pour from this Trappist Ale is a hazy yellow with a thick creamy head. Citrus fruits, malt sweetness, some spices, and a touch of alcohol make up the aroma. The taste is clean and sweet with some warming at the end from the 8% ABV.
Conclusion: Far from the best, but not the worst. If you’re looking for a Belgian Tripel that’s well-crafted, tastes delicious, and is easy to drink– look no further. ~
4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 drpimento (1695) - La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 6, 2009
Whoa! Yummy! orrr perhaps I should say luxuriant ~ Very lively beer, started foaming over over as soon as the bottle was opened. Poured with a great textured, foamy, frothy, big off-white to light tan head with plenty of lace. Color is a very clear and bright orange amber until the lees at the bottom was added to cloud it up. Aroma is similar in a way to the bavarian weiss with the banana and clove, but different - lot’s of malt, yeast, honey, a little hop, and white wine. Flavor is much the same with good interplay between bitter and sweet. Satsifying. Good for a few sips and perhaps, a couple of quaffs before returning to sipping. Great finish too. A little boozy at the end. A session beer for the slow going.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 sdriessen (318) - Dunedin, NEW ZEALAND - NOV 30, 2009
Nice bubblegum and candy on the nose, lemon and wheaty notes. Unfortunate hint of chlorine.
The flavours are short, and start out sweet. They get sweeter just before a reasonable bitterness ushers in a clean and crisp finish. Not bad, but not spectacular.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 brikelly (38) - New Hampshire, USA - NOV 23, 2009
Poured into a tulip glass, this beer created a very tantalizing, frothy head. The aroma was very pleasant, citrus-ey but not overwrought. Nice blonde appearance with some yeasty cloudiness. Great refreshing taste, slightly fruity. Aftertaste was complex for a second or so and then things mellowed out nicely. A really drinkable beer.
