Bottle. Hazy amber, brown sediment making it’s way around, medium off-white head. Sweet aroma, bubble-gum notes, yeast, spices. Again, very sweet notes of bubblegum, spices, yeast and some vague fruit notes. Nice finish, smooth.
2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 Cirrhosis (887) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - JUN 3, 2009
This beer pours a pretty standard looking opaque honey brown with massive cloudy white head, but when held up to the light it seems to glow a burnt orange color that look amazing. The sent is yeast, sweet and smooth but very hard to pick up, and there is something ells in the aroma what I can’t figure out and it’s really turning me off this beer. Taste isn’t working for me either I can really taste the alcohol, what hinders the usual wheaty malt and yeast flavors. There is a touch of banana and spice in the flavor when you can manage to block out the high alcohol taste in this brew. Even the feel is a bit thin for the style and a bit to prickly tongue. There is a very sharp bitter after taste that seems to come out of nowhere. This is like a lot of other Belgian blonds but is way harsher and not easy drinking, not really a beer you should go out of your way for that’s for sure.

bottle - Pours hazy yellow with a huge, white, lingering head. The aroma is sweet malt with citrus notes. The flavor has a nice sweet fruity maltiness up front with a good balance of hops and a touch of spice. Very good.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 judasbeer (431) - Budapest, HUNGARY - MAY 9, 2009
Deep golden color with orange hue. Medium hazy appearance. Huge white head with spiderweb lacing.
Intense spicy maltiness in the aroma with orange peel bitterness. The mouthfeel is surprisingly acidic with sweet pears, bananas. Crisp, floral hops in the finish.
Easier than the other trappists. Enjoyable.
