COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A pale, strong, fruity, hoppy Trappist ale from one of Belgium’s six official abbey breweries. Achel 8° is hard to find even in Belgium; in the U.S. it’s up there with the rarest of beers. This blond, flavorful beer is a surprisingly refreshing brew at 8% alcohol by volume. It is lightly filtered, but still wholesomely hazy with yeast remaining and refermenting in the bottle.

Bardzo przyjemny blondyn. Ale nie wiedzieć czemu, strasznie się pienił! Raczej nie z mojej winy. Sporo ziołowych przypraw dobrze zbalansowanych słodowo - alkoholowym rdzeniem. Trapiści złych piw nie warzą!

Rated from beer log from 2009 Belgian Trip.... Golden orange color with thick white foamy head... Not very aromatic, slight citrus aroma... Citrusy sweet flavor, but very subtle, not overwhelming... Finish is lightly sweet and gentle on palate... Not a very provocative beer, but very good nonetheless

Bottle. Lightly cloudy golden pour with a thick, lasting white head. Aroma is bready, sweet, a little fruity and spicy, some Belgian yeast. Flavour is fairly sweet, bready, yeasty, a bit dry with some warmth, just a touch of bitterness. Nicely balanced.

Wow. Amazing that I found a bottle in Edmonton, AB (Canada). Hazy golden orange pour with a foamy white head that lasted the duration of the beer. This seriously stood up. A huge, complex profile that my review won?t do justice. If you see a bottle of this, purchase it. Initial flavours of fresh sourdough and yeast along with orange & lemon zest, coriander, breads, and wheat. Fades delicately into spices, herbs, nuts, bananas, and has a dry finish. Bubbly carbonation typical of bottle conditioning.

Pours amber with medium-big head. Medium sweetness, lightly sour with a creamy body and a nicely balanced bitterness in the end. This one is a big surprise. For some reason I avoided it for a long while probably because of the ugly label (how superficial of me!). Now that I tasted it I cannnot stop drinkin’. Not a mountain of flavour but damn’ this is well balanced and subtle, and the worst of all (for my liver) incredibily drinkable. Probably the best trappist I’ve ever tried. I’m goin’down to the supermarket to buy another one, two, three... oh, please stop me!

Intensywny i mily aromat. Polwytrawne, wysokie wysycenie. Dobre piwo, jedno z tanszych trappistow. Zaskakujaco orzezwiajace - byc moze zasluga wysokiej owocowosci i wysycenia? mozna powtorzyc za jakis czas z czytsym sumieniem :)
