Very pleasant. Golden honey color, slightly cloudy with moderate head. The head collapsed to 1 mm pretty quickly, but then lasted the entire glass. Flavor was a great clovey peppery mix, followed by a slight but consistent metallic flavor. (This detracted from flavor and overall score.) Flavors and aroma were consistent through entire bottle. Carbonation was present throughout without being to fizzy. I'd happily drink it again, but I wouldn't spend the $9.00 it cost me at my local retailer.

La cosa piu’ bella di questa birra e’ il fantastico cappello di schiuma che fa! Poi si beve che e’ una meraviglia!

This trappist blond pours clear and golden with a big frothy head. It has a hoppy aroma and goes down easily especially considering it is 8%.

Hazy yellow w/ thick white head & lots of suspended particles. Nose is yeasty, fruity (peaches, citrus), & spicy. Full-bodied. Sweet & bread-like at first, but light & yeasty in the middle. Finish is warm & dry w/ a nice alcohol tingle.

Cloudy pale gold with full fizzy head. Fresh, spicy citrusy and yeasty aroma. Notes of lemon and bread. Full body, high carbon. Extensive sweet and dry bitter lemon on palate. Great. Bitter aftertaste. B@H

Bottle. Very generous head, nice fruity aroma with a bit of hops. Taste very similar to aroma, just stronger. Taste is surprisingly a bit alcoholic. Very nice beer.

Poured into open lip Belgian beer glass (Duvel) glass. Super carbonated - foam right to the top! Rapid carbonation flow continues to rise from middle of glass. Beautiful appearance. Bright nose...esters don’t have much to hide behind. Nice flavor. Continues to get better and better as beer opens up. I still haven’t found my palate for the light Belgians compared to the dark. This would be perfect as an afternoon sipper on a summer patio.

Scopey (1179) - Croydon, Surrey, ENGLAND - JAN 27, 2012
Bottle at CP&K. It pours golden yellow, with a thick fluffy white head. The nose is melon, sweet pear, orange and icing sugar. The taste is pear, melon, metal, dough, hay, straw, white sugar, herbal, alcohol warmth and some bitterness, with a dry finish. Medium to full body, lively carbonation and foamy mouth-feel. Well balanced. Pretty good stuff.

Den här ölen var något sämre än sin bruna kamrat, inte lika välbalanserad och lite för mycket alkohol i smaken. Slutsats: nja.
