Reddish-brown colour. Dried fruits and some grapes in the aroma. Sweet but not too strong taste. Standard belgian quality with no surprises.

Kissé bíboros árnyalatú sötétbarna színe van, magasra törő kemény habja nagyon kitartó, színe valahol a piszkosfehér és a bézs között van. Illata mazsolás, aszalt gyümölcsös, élesztős. Íze is nagyon aszalt gyümölcsös, diós, meglehetősen fűszeres, kissé csípős is, érdekes, de nekem kevésnek tűnt, lehetett volna tartalmasabb is, a Blonde szerintem sokkal jobb. Különben egy picit édesebb, nehézkes-testes állagú, élénken szénsavas, finom belga barna ale.

Huge pour. Nice hazy copper color with an enormous, rocky beige head. Nice carbonation. Subdued aroma, leather, earth, raisins, caramel. The flavor is awesome. Big caramel/toffee sweetness, hints of plum, booze and spice. Very drinkable. Medium bodied, relatively slick on the tongue. Great brew.

Bottled from Biekompass.Dark brown, reddish color, with medium light brown head.Aroma, caramel, chocolate, orange, spices. Taste, caramel, orange, spices, Nice bittersweet finish. Good.

This dark strong ale is not enjoyable at all. Dark beer is supposed to be awesome, this is not.

[Trade by Dedollewaitor] Pours cloudy brown with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of sour berries. Taste is medium sour. Body is medium, texture is thin, carbonation is soft.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a reddish brown with a big but fading white head that leaves some lacing and an aroma of sweet malts, brown sugar, toffee and raisins. The Taste is pretty sweet too, lots of malts, some coffee with milk and sugar, ripe fruits, orange peel, caramel and milk chocolate. Some hoppy bitterness in the finish. Just nice.

330ml bottle. Medium orange, a bit dull, big white head. Malty, spicy, yeasty nose, orange peel, cloves, candied sugars, hops. Off-dry, medium to full body, lively co2, fairly low bitterness. Spicy, yeasty taste, malt, raw sugar, orange peel, hops, earth, caramel, dried fruits. Not bad at all, but still among the least inspiring trappists. (2011-02-06)
