Bottle. Brownish with a nice, creamy head. Dried fruit, yeast, malt and spices. Also something sweet in the strawberry? Descent beer.

UPDATED: FEB 10, 2011 I find very little to say about this except...extraordinary. the nose is out of this world. You smell it and get rich caramel, banana, citrus, malt just pure balance. Off white head that hung around alittle. Bottle over flowed alittle. So smooth. Great trappist. Cant believe its not the oldest of them....definity not lacking in quality. Id drink 4-5 of these in a row before i realized i was slobering on myself.

Colore bruno con bel cappello di schiuma. Aroma classico dello stile, in bocca invece ha un pò più di carattere, soddisfa il palato. Sarà ma io dalle trappiste mi aspetto sempre qualcosa in più...

Bottle 33cl. Color: red/brown,cloudy with a thick beige head. Aroma: The first thing that crossed my mind was red fruits and Belgian cuberdons. So mainly sweet en sour touches, but also neutral nuts. Taste: Again sweet and sour, candy and red fruit and a little alcohol touch. Aftertaste is slightly bitter. Mouthfeel is creamy but body rather watery.

Warning! Early amateur rating! Fairly standard Belgian brown beer. Some alcohol and malt sweetness. No complexity but alright.
